摘要: A system and method for parameter-driven value conversion in a client/server architecture is presented. A request is received from a client computer for an application service. The request includes a parameter defining a data field for a conversion and a conversion ID that specifies the conversion. A lookup is performed of a converter in a conversion registry based on the conversion ID, and the converter is then called to perform the conversion of the data field defined by the parameter in the request, to generate a converted data field. Finally, the converted data field is returned to the protocol handler.

摘要: A system and method for parameter driven data format conversion in a client/server architecture are disclosed. A format conversion framework is provided in a protocol layer between the client and the server. The format conversion framework passes a format conversion identifier (ID) with a request from the client from the client to the server. A conversion module is looked up by the format conversion framework based on the format conversion ID, the conversion module providing a conversion routine. The format conversion framework then executes the conversion routine on a result returned from the server to the client based on the request, the conversion routine converting a format of the result into a format used by the client.

摘要: A navigation system includes a display for displaying at least a part of a digital map. The navigation system includes a navigation database which stores any text and/or symbol(s) associated with a signpost independently from a background of the signpost. The text and/or symbol(s) and the background may be retrieved from the navigation database and displayed as a signpost image in the displayed part of the digital map.

摘要: A device for evaluating a temperature measurement signal of a temperature measurement facility has a modeling unit with a first input for picking up an input signal which is indicative for the temperature measurement signal, a second input for picking up a feedback signal, and an output for outputting an output signal. The output signal can be generated in dependence on the input signal and the feedback signal by using a computational model stored in the modeling unit. The feedback signal (slope) is directly or indirectly dependent on the output signal. Furthermore, an alarm indicator with an evaluation device of this type and a method for evaluating a temperature measurement signal are provided. Alongside this, a computer-readable storage medium and also a program element are described, which contain instructions for carrying out the evaluation method.

摘要: A method for data exchange is provided, whereby a first code is generated by a transponder, which is transmitted to a base station, a first transmission information is generated by the base station by encoding a base station code with a first identification and the first random number code, the first transmission information is transmitted to the transponder and the base station code is extracted by the transponder, a second code is generated by the transponder, which is transmitted to the base station upon an associated request from the base station, whereby before a transmission to the base station the second code is encoded with the extracted base station code, a second encoded transmission information comprising a second identification is generated by the base station with use of the second code and transmitted to the transponder, and at least one memory region of the transponder is released for read and/or write access after the second identification was verified as valid. The invention relates further to a transponder and to a system for secure data exchange.
