Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing stable suspensions of finely dispersed colloidal crystalline titanium dioxide particles, comprising the hydro-thermal treatment of aqueous molecularly disperse sol-gel solutions prepared from amorphous water-soluble precursor powders. The suspensions thus obtained can be used, inter alia, for the production of thin transparent crystalline layers.
Abstract:
A method for producing a glass or glass ceramic composite material is provided. The method includes: providing a glass or glass ceramic substrate with a coefficient of thermal expansion of α≦5*10−6 K−1; applying a sol-gel layer onto the substrate; adding particles to the sol-gel layer; patterning the sol-gel layer; thermally curing the sol-gel layer; and applying at least one further layer using a deposition process.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method for deposition of an anti-reflection layer, in which glass particles are embedded in a titanium oxide containing matrix that is produced by a sol-gel method.
Abstract:
A display device is provided that is a transparent, colored glass-ceramic with a display face on the front, an illumination face on the back, and at least one light-emitting element being disposed in the region of the illumination face. The display device further includes a color compensation filter in the form of a color layer introduced directly or indirectly on the glass ceramics.
Abstract:
A semi-transparent coating material for coating glass or glass ceramics includes at least one sol-gel hybrid-polymer coating system having a hybrid-polymer or inorganic sol-gel-based matrix, and nanoparticles and nanoscale pigments and/or dyes are added to the hybrid-polymer or inorganic sol-gel-based matrix.
Abstract:
A method for producing a glass or glass ceramic composite material with a metallic decorative appearance is provided. The method includes: applying a layer onto a glass or glass ceramic substrate, the layer comprising a sol-gel and/or a polysiloxane; patterning the layer; and applying a metallic-looking layer onto the patterned layer.
Abstract:
A composite is provided that has a structured sol-gel layer on a substrate. The sol-gel layer is extremely resistant against mechanical stress and other influences from outside due to its production method. The composite is suitable for use in a lot of technical fields, since the sol-gel layer can be provided with nearly any arbitrary structure. For example, the structure may result in optical effects and may be used in optical systems.

Abstract:
An etching method for selective introduction of structures into surfaces of different substrates, such as glass or glass ceramic substrates, is provided. The method provides for surface structuring using an etch mask. The etchmask allows for the production of very fine structures on the substrate surfaces using liquid etching media. In this method the etch mask is produced on the substrate.
Abstract:
The solar cell has a pigmented dielectric reflector, which includes two dielectric layers with different refractive indices and pigments embedded in the layers, so that the solar cell has good light-trapping properties and high efficiency with a small reflector layer thickness. The material systems suitable for producing the pigmented dielectric reflector are also part of the invention.
