    摘要: Disclosed is a bonded can of the key-opening type comprising a coated metal blank and a seam formed by lap-bonding outer and inner end edge portions of the coated metal blank to each other by a tape of a thermoplastic resin adhesive, wherein the adhesive is a polyamide type or polyester type adhesive, the inner end edge portion forming the seam of the bonded can is completely covered with the adhesive tape, the outer edge portion has a winding-starting tongue piece integrated therewith, a plurality of scores are formed on the outer surface of the coated metal blank from the base of the tongue piece along the entire circumference inclusive of the seam, the scores have a knife angle of 45.degree. to 120.degree. and a depth corresponding to 8 to 45% of the thickness of the metal blank, a coating of an epoxy resin having a thermal softening point of 65.degree. to 150.degree. C. as measured according to the thermomechanical method is formed at least at the seam-forming part on the outer surface and said epoxy resin coating forms a continuous layer adhering closely to the metal blank even in the portion of said scores.

    摘要: Disclosed is a process for the preparation of a thickness-reduced deep-draw-formed can, which comprises the steps of (i) coating a crystalline thermoplastic resin on a metal plate, (ii) heating the coated metal plate at a temperature higher than the glass transition point (Tg) of the thermoplastic resin and draw-forming the coated metal plated, and (iii) heating the obtained preliminarily drawn cup at a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the thermoplastic resin and redrawing the cup at a bend-pulling speed of at least 1 m/min. According to this process, damage of the coating layer can be drastically moderated, and a deep-draw-formed can having prominently improved corrosion resistance and heat resistance can be obtained.

    摘要: An improvement in a method for producing a welded metallic can body. The method involves holding and pressing a lap portion of the side marginal portions of a can body-like structure, which has been formed by bending a metal blank into a cylindrical shape, along its entire length between a pair of opposing parallel wire electrodes placed on the opposing surfaces of parallel electrodes, and passing an electric current across the parallel electrodes for a predetermined period of time during the pressing to subject the lap portion to resistance welding. At least one of the parallel electrodes is divided longitudinally into two or more portions electrically insulated from each other, and an electric current is passed through at least one of them independently from the other portions so that the temperature rise in the lap portion of the can body-like structure becomes uniform. Also disclosed is an apparatus for producing a welded metallic can body in accordance with the aforesaid method.
