摘要:
A method of diagnosing a cooling subsystem of an engine system in response a parameter extracted from dynamic hydraulic pressure sensed in the cooling subsystem, and products and systems using same.
摘要:
A method includes sensing pressure within an engine cylinder, and estimating at least one other engine system parameter based on the sensed pressure. Another method includes designing an engine system, which includes one or more engine cylinder pressure sensors and one or more other engine system sensors. According to this method, the engine system is operated, and engine cylinder pressure is sensed using the engine cylinder pressure sensors, which are in communication with an engine cylinder of an engine of the engine system. Also, other engine system parameters are sensed to obtain at least one other engine system parameter using the other engine system sensors. The engine cylinder pressure is correlated to the at least one other engine system parameter, and engine cylinder pressure is used to replace or augment the at least one other engine system parameter that correlates to the engine cylinder pressure.

The present invention relates to a compressor-cooler module, having a housing, a compressor contained in the housing, and an air cooler disposed within the housing and positioned in the flow path of the compressor. The present invention also includes an intake in fluid communication with the housing, a cooler bypass valve operably associated with the air cooler and the compressor, and a low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation passage operably associated with the cooler bypass valve, and the cooler bypass valve selectively directs exhaust gas to bypass the air cooler.

An adsorption element for adsorbing gases and vapors from the gaseous atmosphere in the intake tract of an internal combustion engine. The adsorption element is disposed within a wall of a flow cross section carrying the intake air, has a planar adsorption medium along which the intake air flows, and is pleated to create folds in longitudinal direction of the intake stream.

A method and system for estimating engine parameters in a combustion engine gas exchange system based on dynamic pressure readings taken by one or more pressure sensors. According to an exemplary embodiment, the method and system may use an artificial neural network (ANN) to process the dynamic pressure readings and any additional engine conditions that may have been provided.
