    摘要: Systems and methods for scalable triggering of machine type communication (MTC) devices are disclosed. One method comprises receiving for a selected period of time, at an MTC inter working function (IWF) module, a plurality of device trigger messages that are sent from a plurality of MTC servers. The plurality of device trigger messages are aggregated at the MTC IWF. A mobility management entity (MME) or Serving General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Support Node (SGSN) for each device trigger message is identified. The aggregated device trigger messages are then sent to the identified MME or SGSN associated with each device trigger message to enable the identified MME SGSN to send the device trigger messages to a radio access network for transmission to the MTC devices.
