    摘要: An image processing device with a configuration enabling generating of images from a new viewpoint by simple signal processing is provided. Input image signals for the right eye, and input image signals for the left eye to be applied to image display are input, and a right image converting unit generates a converted image where the input image signals for the right eye have been subjected to phase change in the right direction or the left direction, in accordance with features of the image. In the same way, a left image converting unit generates a converted image where the input image signals for the left eye have been subjected to phase change in the left direction or the right direction, in accordance with features of the image. The generated image of the right image converting unit and the generated image of the left image converting unit are output as multiple new viewpoint images. A converted image is generated by processing where a luminance differential signal of an input image, or a nonlinear conversion signal of the luminance differential signal is added or subtracted, to or from the input image signal, for example.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus includes an image input unit that inputs a two-dimensional image signal, a depth information output unit that inputs or generates depth information of image areas constituting the two-dimensional image signal, an image conversion unit that receives the image signal and the depth information from the image input unit and the depth information output unit, and generates and outputs a left eye image and a right eye image for realizing binocular stereoscopic vision, and an image output unit that outputs the left and right eye images. The image conversion unit extracts a spatial feature value of the input image signal, and performs an image conversion process including an emphasis process applying the feature value and the depth information with respect to the input image signal, thereby generating at least one of the left eye image and the right eye image.

    摘要: A moving-picture conversion apparatus includes a block generator configured to generate blocks by dividing each frame forming moving picture data into the blocks, an amount-of-movement detector configured to detect an amount of movement of a subject corresponding to each block generated by the block generator, a block processor configured to receive the blocks generated by the block generator and information concerning the amount of movement detected by the amount-of-movement detector to perform decimation processing on the blocks, and a packing processor configured to receive the blocks decimated by the block processor to generate a packed block including pixel data forming the decimated blocks. The packing processor generates a packed block by correcting positions of pixels forming the packed block substantially to relative positions of the corresponding pixels forming an original image.
