摘要： A modifier for resin and rubber of which an active ingredient is a reaction product of a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer (A) with a poly(alkylene oxide) monoalkyl ether (B), and/or a metal salt thereof, which modifier improves processability and properties of resins or rubbers. For example, the modifier provides resins or rubbers with antistatic properties. It also enhances the dispersibility of additives, e.g., a flame retardant or fillers incorporated in the resin or the rubber, and provides resins or rubbers with, for example, excellent flame retardancy and prevents the additive or the filler from blooming.

摘要： A flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition which comprises (A) 50 to 90% by weight of a thermoplastic resin which is the base polymer and 50 to 10% by weight of a total of (B) a nitrogen-containing condensed phosphoric acid compound, (C) a comb-like polymer consisting of a polyethylene main chain and a polyoxyalkylene side chain and (D) a metal-containing compound having a carbonization accelerating effect, the amounts of the components (B), (C) and (D) being 5 to 49% by weight, 1 to 15% by weight and 0 to 10% by weight, respectively, in which the total amount of the components (A), (B), (C) and (D) is 100% by weight; a process for producing the composition; a flame-retardant consisting of the components (B), (C) and (D); and a process for producing the flame-retardant.

摘要： An aqueous dispersion of a cationic polymer is disclosed, which is obtained by reacting an ethylene copolymer comprising from 40 to 80% by weight of ethylene and from 20 to 60% by weight of at least one aminoalkyl acrylamide comonomer represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and n represents an integer of from 2 to 4, and having a melt index, as measured in accordance with JIS K-6760, of from 10 to 1,000 g/10 min with hydrochloric acid in water to form a quaternary salt and subsequently reacting the resulting quaternary salt with an epihalohydrin compound through addition reaction. The aqueous dispersion provides a coating film having an improved electrical conductivity or produces effects to simultaneously improve degree of sizing and wet strength of paper.

摘要： A lead accumulator using dilute sulfuric acid as an electrolyte liquor is disclosed, in which the electrolyte liquor is fixed by absorption or impregnation into an ethylene copolymer resin or a molding thereof comprising from 40 to 90% by weight of an ethylene unit and from 10 to 60% by weight of at least one comonomer unit selected from (A) and ethylenically unsaturated comonomer unit having an amido group and an amino group in the molecule thereof and (B) an ethylenically unsaturated comonomer unit having an ester group and an amino group in the molecule thereof and having an average molecular weight of from 5,000 to 50,000. The lead accumulator can be produced easily and at a low cost without limitations of shape and volume and has high performance reliability.

摘要： A process for producing a reinforced crystalline engineering plastic composition is disclosed, comprising melt-kneading (A) from 60 to 97 parts by weight of a crystalline engineering plastic and (B) from 5 to 100 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the sum of (A) and (C), of glass fibers and melt-kneading the resulting mixture with (C) from 3 to 40 parts by weight of an epoxy- or acid anhydride-containing ethylene copolymer. The composition obtained provides, with excellent moldability, a molded article having an improved appearance while exhibiting well-balanced mechanical and thermal properties.

摘要： A dyeable poly-.alpha.-olefin composition having improved dyeablity, is disclosed, comprising a melt kneaded mixture of(A) 100 parts by weight of a poly-.alpha.-olefin;(B) from 1 to 20 parts by weight of an ethylene copolymer having a melt index as defined in JIS K-6760 at 190.degree. C. in the range of from 1 to 1,000 g/10 min, which is composed of(a) from 40 to 95% by weight of ethylene and(b) from 5 to 60% by weight of at least one dialkylaminoalkyl acrylamides comonomer represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents hydrogen or a methyl group; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and n represents an integer of from 2 ro 4; and(C) from 0 to 3 parts by weight of at least one alkali metal salt of an organic carboxylic acid having from 7 to 24 carbon atoms.
