A solution is produced by introducing carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and a carbon nanotube bulk material containing a cluster of aggregated single-walled carbon nanotubes into water (H2O). The single-walled carbon nanotubes are solubilized by CMC in the solution and separated from the cluster. The solution in which the single-walled carbon nanotubes are dispersed by using ultrasonic waves is filtered by filters to produce a carbon nanotube solution containing dispersed single-walled carbon nanotubes. A carbon nanotube-containing film is produced by dropping the carbon nanotube solution onto a plate and drying the carbon nanotube solution.
