    摘要： Methods for evaluating motion of a tissue, such as of a cardiac location, e.g., heart wall, via continuous field tomography are provided. In the subject methods, a continuous field (e.g., an electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or other field) sensing element is stably associated with the tissue location. A property of the applied continuous field is detected with the sensing element to evaluate movement of the tissue location. Also provided are systems, devices and related compositions for practicing the subject methods. The subject methods and devices find use in a variety of different applications, including cardiac resynchronization therapy.

    摘要： The optical switch includes input optical fibers, output optical fibers, a lens, a movable mirror, and an actuator operative to move the mirror. Depending on a voltage applied to the actuator, the actuator selectively set the mirror to a first position corresponding to a first combination of optical paths, through which the light beam travels from the first set of the input optical fibers to the second set of the output optical fibers; and to a second position corresponding to a second combination of optical paths, through which the light beam travels from the first set to the second set. The first combination is different from the second combination, and a number of optical fibers of the first set and the second set is more than two.

    摘要： An ultrasonic structure which has a thin planar sheet of material forming a Lamb wave propagation medium The propagation medium is coated with a gel. The structure may also include a Lamb wave generator for generating Lamb waves in the propagation medium and an output device for producing an electrical signal representative of the propagation characteristics of the Lamb waves propagating along the propagation medium. A measuring device can be included to measure selected characteristics of the output electrical signal. The propagation medium has some physical characteristics that are determined by the value of a measurand acting on the medium and the determined physical characteristics determine the propagation characteristics of the Lamb waves which are propagated along the medium. When the sensor is acted on by a measurand to determine the physical characteristics of the propagation medium, the characteristics of the electrical signal are also determined. The measuring device measures the electrical signal and provides an indication of the measurand value.

    摘要： Methods and systems for programming a plurality of leads under at least two distinct modalities are provided. The leads may be grouped within satellites and multiple satellites may be configured within a single lead. Each lead includes a power and communications bus providing commands, and information and pulses to the satellites. The leads may be connected to at least two different command and pulse sources, optionally a cardiac pacemaker and/or a cardiac pulse analyzer system. A command may include or be preceded by a wake-up pulse that facilitates identification of a modality applicable to the associated command and data. A command may further optionally include a reference pulse or series of reference pulses, whereby the satellite references data pulses in relation to one or more aspects of the associated reference pulse. A data pulse may deliver two bits of information.
