摘要: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for forming an oxide coating film with excellent corrosion resistance and adhesiveness on a cathode made of a metal plate by a simple process at low cost. A direct current voltage is applied between an anode (12) and a cathode (13) in an electrolyte solution which cathode (13) is made of a metal plate to be coated with oxide and arranged opposite to the anode (12), while supplying oxygen or a gas containing oxygen into the electrolyte solution, so that the metal plate cathode (13) is coated with oxide, thereby being formed into a oxide-coated metal plate.

摘要: A surface-treated metal material having, formed on the surface of a metal base member, an inorganic surface-treating layer that contains inorganic components or, further, having an organic surface-treating layer formed on the inorganic surface-treating layer, the inorganic surface-treating layer containing at least M (M is at least one of Ti, Zr or Al), O and F. The organic surface-treating layer comprises a silane coupling agent containing Si in an amount of 0.8 to 30 mg/m2 or a phenol-type water-soluble organic compound. The surface treatment without using chromium can be applied to various metal base members featuring excellent environmental friendliness, excellent resistance against discoloration even when applied to tin-plated steel plates, and offering excellent characteristics such as the close adhesion to the organic resin coating, adhesive property, corrosion resistance and dent resistance. Owing to the cathodic treatment in an aqueous solution, further, the surface-treated metal material can be produced at a high speed, easily and at a low cost.

摘要: A metal can body of improved impact resistance of the body wall is formed by drawing and/or pressing subsequent to preliminary coating of an organic resin on at least one side of the metal surface that becomes the inner surface of the can body. The main component of the organic resin coating is a polyester resin containing oriented crystals. The intrinsic viscosity (IV) of the polyester layer is 0.60 or higher. Parameter A representing the ratio of axial orientation in the direction of the can height is A.gtoreq.0.40. and Parameter B representing the degree of plane orientation of axially oriented crystals in the direction of the can height is B.gtoreq.0.00.

摘要: A process for manufacturing the butt-welded cans comprises the steps of applying a 0.5 to 3.5 .mu.m thick organic resin film for preventing the adhesion of melted metal particles to at least a 1-mm-wide region from the butt-weld portion edge of at least the inner surface of a steel plate can blank, and butt-welding the edges of the can blank by the use of a laser, or alternatively applying a 0.5 to 7.0.mu.m thick organic resin film, butting the edges of the can blank, and laser-welding the butted edges while a cooling device is brought into contact with the butted edges from the inner side of each can. In this case, it is preferred that the coating material having high thermal decomposition resistance is applied to the whole outer surface of each can, and the weld portion is then butt-welded by means of a CO.sub.2 laser. The aforesaid coating material have the high resistance to thermal decomposition and is the material in which the temperature at which a thermogravimetric weight reduction ratio of the coating material reaches 50% is 470.degree. C. or more, i.e., the coating material comprising a phenolic resin or fluoride resin, or a coating material containing a polyorganosiloxane, metallic oxide or metallic powder.

摘要: A can body of surface treated steel plate, such as TFS, having adjacent longitudinally extending edges of tubular shaped member welded by irradiation of laser beam and provided with inside surface of welded seam having reliable paint retaining characteristic and free from projections, such as upset. For the purpose, welding is carried out such that inside and outside width of molten-solidified zone and structure changed zone will be maintained within a predetermined range and that metallic wire or elongated backing strip is located oppositely to lower surface of both edges being butt-welded.

摘要: The present invention provides a condenser with a liquid-receiver that enables the omission of piping for connecting a liquid-receiver and a condenser. The liquid-receiver is connected to the condenser by a liquid-receiver holder. The liquid-receiver holder also is connected to the header of the condenser body. The liquid-receiver is flange connected to the liquid-receiver holder, whereby the liquid-receiver is held to the condenser body and both of them are internally communicated with one another through a passage formed in the liquid-receiver holder.
