摘要: Disclosed are sweetened consumables and methods of forming said sweetened consumables that comprise certain sweeteners and a compound of formula (1), wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of OH and OCH3, and R2 is selected from the group consisting of H and OH, R1 and R2 comprise at least one OH group, and when R1 is OH then R2 is H (trilobatin), and when R1 is OCH3 then R2 is OH (HDG), in a concentration near its sweetness detection threshold. The sweeteners include sucrose, fructose, glucose, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, xylose, arabinose, rhamnose, erythritol, xylitol, mannitol, sorbitol, inositol, acesulfame potassium, aspartame, neotame, sucralose, saccharine, or combinations thereof.

摘要: Improved processes for producing high purity acesulfame potassium. In one embodiment, the process comprises the steps of contacting a solvent, e.g., dichloromethane, and a cyclizing agent, e.g., sulfur trioxide, to form a cyclizing agent composition and reacting an acetoacetamide salt with the cyclizing agent in the composition to form a cyclic sulfur trioxide adduct. The contact time is less than 60 minutes. The process also comprises forming from the cyclic sulfur trioxide adduct composition a finished acesulfame potassium composition comprising non-chlorinated, e.g., non-chlorinated, acesulfame potassium and less than 35 wppm 5-halo acesulfame potassium, preferably less than 5 wppm.

摘要: Novel safflower oil emulsion and method of preparation. The safflower oil is 100% all natural, non-genetically modified organism (GMO), expeller pressed, solvent free, linoleic fatty acid rich oil wherein the linoleic fatty acid content is in a range from approximately 70% to approximately 80% of the total safflower oil that is mixed with a purified water and a mixture of at least one of an emulsifier, a flavoring, a natural sweetener, a natural coloring agent, and a gum. The mixture is blended to provide a stable emulsion that has the rich taste of a nutritious fruit smoothie that increases metabolism to support a healthy weight management program. The resulting dietary supplement is bioavailable and easily absorbed by the consumer of the emulsified safflower oil dietary supplement.

One process comprises the steps of providing a crude acesulfame potassium composition comprising acesulfame potassium and acetoacetamide, concentrating the crude acesulfame potassium composition to form a water stream and an intermediate acesulfame potassium composition comprising acesulfame potassium and less than 33 wppm acetoacetamide, and separating the intermediate acesulfame potassium composition to form the finished acesulfame potassium composition comprising acesulfame potassium and less than 33 wppm acetoacetamide. The concentrating step is conducted at a temperature below 90° C. and the separating step is conducted at a temperature at or below 35° C.

摘要: What is provided are sugar substitute compositions comprising natural ingredients that provide added human health benefits and properties and characteristics of sugar, without the caloric content and glycemic index of sugar. Unlike artificial sweeteners, the sugar substitute compositions contain no chemicals or synthetic additives and taste and function like sugar. In another embodiment, the sugar substitute comprises a digestion resistant soluble fiber, Luo Han Guo extract, a flavor masking agent comprising Oryza sativa (rice) extract, and a steviol glycoside.

摘要: A reduced sugar syrup having an advantageously low viscosity is prepared by hydrolysis of starch or starchy material using a particular type of alpha amylase enzyme which yields a saccharide distribution having a low DP1-2 and low DP11+ content. The DP4 content of the syrup may be favorably increased by using a maltotetragenic alpha amylase enzyme in combination with the aforementioned alpha amylase enzyme. The syrup is useful in the production of food, beverage, animal feed, animal health and nutrition, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic compositions and may be combined with a high intensity sweetener to provide a composition capable of being substituted for conventional corn syrups.
