摘要: This invention is a low pressure, steady volume supply static mixer manifold for a high pressure pump. The design comprises an internal diffuser cylindrical tube inside an external rectangular tube in which static mixing occurs. Capped at one end, the internal diffuser pipe, with flow coming from the opposite side, allows for one flow direction diffused into the outer rectangular tube that then allows for constant bidirectional flow at a constant pressure throughout. The flow of slurry components between the cylindrical tube and the rectangular tube supports static mixing in part by creating alternating flow pressures between mixing ports (allowing flow of slurry components from the cylindrical tube) and the exit ports based on the different geometries of the cylindrical tube and rectangular tube. The combination of flow and pressure exiting the cylindrical tube through the mixing ports, at an angle to the bottom corners of the outer rectangular tube, creates a natural agitation of the slurry components. The cutouts in the inner tube are sized and spaced for providing the proper flow, mix, and pressure to each exit port.

摘要: Methods are provided for achieving dynamic mixing of two or more fluid streams using a mixing device. The methods include providing at least two integrated concentric contours that are configured to simultaneously direct fluid flow and transform the kinetic energy level of the first and second fluid streams, and directing fluid flow through the at least two integrated concentric contours such that, in two adjacent contours, the first and second fluid streams are input in opposite directions. As a result, the physical effects acting on each stream of each contour are combined, increasing the kinetic energy of the mix and transforming the mix from a first kinetic energy level to a second kinetic energy level, where the second kinetic energy level is greater than the first kinetic energy level.

Said device contains a container and an external circular pipe, wherein the container is a double-chamber structure. The inner chamber consists of an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder with the latter being jacketed by the former, and there is a space between the walls of the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder. The lower end of the outer cylinder is open and higher than the bottom of the container, and the outer cylinder is fixed to the wall or bottom of the container. The upper end of the inner cylinder is open and its lower end connects with the external circular pipe through the feed outlet. A continuous passage is sequentially formed from the spaces between the wall of the outer cylinder and that of the container, between the lower end of the outer cylinder and the bottom of the container, between the wall of the outer cylinder and that of the inner cylinder, and in the inner cylinder. The external circular pipe connects with the bottom of the container and leads to the inner chamber, and connects with the sidewall at the lower part of the container and leads to the outer chamber, respectively. The present invention also relates to a continuous esterification process, which comprises feeding liquid reaction materials to the reaction device and carrying out reaction under reaction conditions.

摘要: A flow cell for the ultrasonic treatment of a liquid includes a housing with a wall at least partially defining a flow chamber therein. The housing includes a first liquid passage and a second liquid passage for flowing the liquid into and out of the flow chamber. An ultrasonic horn extends into the flow chamber for imparting ultrasonic energy to liquid in the flow chamber, the ultrasonic horn having an outer surface and an end surface, and having a recess formed in the end surface. A tubular member having a first end in fluid communication with a second end, is arranged such that the first end is in fluid communication with the second liquid passage, and the second end extends into the recess in the ultrasonic horn.

摘要: A compact portable modular wastewater treatment system which integrates several processing technologies to provide a substantially purified water source. A wastewater stream is sent through an initial filtration step. The filtered wastewater is then subjected to electrocoagulation and then further filtered. The resulting stream containing substantially only organics is then treated in an advanced oxidation process which can include passing an electrical current through the water during the oxidation process. The partially treated water is then passed through ion-exchange columns to polish ammonium and other contaminants. The ion-exchange columns are cycled through regeneration cycles to provide continuous ion-exchange medium. The ammonium rich brine solution used in regeneration is subjected to an ammonium destruct process and then reused in regenerating ion-exchange columns. The water can then be sent through a final disinfection oxidation process to destroy or inactivate pathogens and/or remove any remaining colorants or odor to provide a water source suitable for almost any use.

摘要: The invention provides a method and apparatus for producing nitrogen trifluoride. The invention involves passing a working fluid through a heat engine cycle and using the mechanical energy generated by the working fluid to produce sufficient mixing intensity within a nitrogen trifluoride reactor. The method utilizes a working fluid vapor jet, such as a hydrogen fluoride vapor jet, to impart sufficient energy to the mixing zone of a reactor in order to disperse gaseous fluorine within a liquid ammonium acid fluoride melt. A gaseous reaction product stream is removed from the reactor, the reaction product stream comprising nitrogen trifluoride and a working fluid vapor. The working fluid is then separated from the nitrogen trifluoride and recycled for reuse in the process, thereby completing a heat engine cycle.

摘要: A method for the dewatering of a material layer of paper fibers in a double-screen former, where the sheet weight (oven-dried sheet weight (otro)) is more than 100 g/m.sup.2 and/or the screen circulates with a speed of at least 100 m/min. Two screens are guided at two guide surfaces that, for example, belong to open forming cylinders. In this arrangement forming cylinders of this kind are so dimensioned and positioned that no dewatering elements that contact one of the screens are present between the run-out line of the screens from the first guide surface and the run-in line at the second guide surface.
