    摘要: A security device for projecting a collection of synthetic images as well as a computer-implemented method for producing such a security device are provided. The synthetic images may represent different viewpoints of a target object or image that change from one viewpoint image to another viewpoint image as the location of the observer changes relative to the device. The nature of each synthetic image can, however, be completely arbitrary, much like the images that are provided by a display device such as a television or computer monitor. In an exemplary embodiment, a special symmetry is used to generate the synthetic images, which allows the device to be manufactured without regard for registration.

    摘要: A laser processing apparatus, a filter device and a method are used for controlling a pulse laser, which is controllable in terms of its pulse energy and of a temporal triggering of laser pulses, during material processing of an object, in particular during the marking of a plastics-based document. The method includes comparing a pulse energy signal which assumes voltage values, in temporal correlation with a clock signal, which represent a pulse energy for the laser pulses for processing, with a threshold value condition and generating a logic result signal. The clock signal is passed to a gate and controlling the gate using the logic result signal and generating a retrieval signal thereby. An energy control signal is provided which has a voltage according to a specification of a control voltage. The retrieval signal and the energy control signal are used to control the pulse laser.

    摘要: The invention relates to identification documents, and in particular to providing optically variable personalized data to identification documents. In one implementation, we provide an identification document comprising a document layer and a first indicium. The document layer comprises a material capable of being printed by a thermally transferable optically variable ink. The first indicium is printed on the document layer and comprises personalized data and printed to the document layer by a thermally transferred optically variable ink. The first indicium may be printed to the document layer by disposing a thermally transferable optically variable ink in a mass transfer panel of a printer ribbon adapted for use in a dye diffusion thermal transfer printer, and printing the first indicium as part of a mass transfer printing process. The thermally transferred optically variable ink can be selected and printed such that the first indicium has at least one of a luster, shine, sheen, pearlescent appearance, iridescent appearance, and mirror-like appearance. This technology enables the creation of a halftone “mirror image” over a color ghost image to achieve a layered and linked multiple personalization scheme of ID documents.
