摘要： An epoxy resin composition comprising the following constituents [A], [B], and [C]:[A] an epoxy resin having a structure represented by a formula (1); in which a ring Z represents a condensed polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon ring, R1 and R2 represent a substituent, R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, k is an integer of 0 to 4, m is an integer of 0 or more, and n is an integer of 1 or more; [B] at least one resin selected from the group consisting of the following [Bx], [By] and [Bz]; [Bx] a bisphenol type epoxy resin; [By] an amine type epoxy resin; and [Bz] a thermoplastic resin; [C] a polyamine curing agent. Provided is an epoxy resin composition which provides a cured product having excellent heat resistance, toughness and elastic modulus.

摘要： The present invention relates to epoxy curing agents which are obtained from the reaction of a polyalkylene polyether modified polyepoxide resin and a polyamine component. They polyamine component is a reaction product of a polyethylene polyamine having 3 to 10 nitrogen atoms, for example, diethylenetriamine (DETA), and at least one aldehyde having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, for example, formaldehyde. The epoxy curing agent may be used as part of a two component coating system in the curing of liquid or pre-dispersed curable epoxy resins.

The benzylated Mannich base composition includes a reaction product of (a) a substituted phenolic compound having at least one substituent of formula (I): wherein R1 is each independently a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R2 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl or phenyl, with (b) a benzylated polyalkylene polyamine (II): wherein RA is substituted or unsubstituted benzyl; RB is each independently RA, or a hydrogen atom, or a group selected from C1-C16 linear, cyclic, and branched alkyl, alkenyl, and alkaryl groups; X, Y, and Z are independently selected from C2-C10 alkylene, and cycloalkylene groups; y is an integer from 0 to 7, and z is an integer from 0 to 4; and, optionally, (c) a multifunctional amine. Amine-epoxy compositions and articles produced from these compositions are also disclosed.

摘要： An epoxy thermoset that includes a reaction product of a toughening agent prepared from a reaction of a first epoxy resin and a polyether polyamine, a second epoxy resin and a liquid amine hardener for the toughening agent and the second epoxy resin. The toughening agent is an adduct of the second epoxy resin and the polyether polyamine. The polyether polyamine phase of the toughening agent separates to form particles in the epoxy thermoset, where the particles have a volume average diameter in a range from 20 nanometers to 200 nanometers.

When exposed to a fluid (e.g., via immersion or wicking), the fluid can selectively penetrate the regions of the structure with compatible surface properties.
