摘要: A sheet-like article including fibers and carbon nanotubes and/or carbon nanohorns adhering to the surface of the fibers in a uniformly dispersed state without agglomeration to form a network structure on the fibers. The sheet-like article is preferably made by converting the fibers and a dispersion of the carbon nanotubes and/or carbon nanohorns by a wet papermaking process. To use cellulose fibers as main fibers provides a good sheet-like article.

摘要: This invention concerns the production of a multilayer fiber product. According to the method, on top of a bottom layer consisting of at least one fiber layer, a second fiber layer is fitted containing filler that forms the surface layer. According to the invention, the layers are formed by multilayer web forming technology, and the surface layer filler includes cellulose or lignocellulose fibrils, on which light-scattering material particles are deposited, having a maximum proportion of the total filler weight of 85%. By means of the invention, a base paper is achieved that is suited to thin, coated paper grades, where conventionally the intrusion of the coating color into the bottom paper and through it is a problem.

摘要: The multi-layer fibrous product and a process for producing it. According to the present invention the fibre product comprises at least two overlapping fibre layers, whereby the one that forms the top layer of the product contains filler and is lighter than the layer under it and is at least essentially opaque. According to the present invention the filler of the top layer consists at least partially of cellulose or lignocellulose fibrils, on which light scattering material particles have been precipitated. The present invention can be used, for example, to produce white surface liner with a lighter top layer without impairment of the strength of the surface. Thus, the grammage of the layer can be at least about 5% by weight less than a top layer, which has the corresponding opacity and formation, and which has been produced from the same fibre material and mineral pigments.

摘要: Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) exhibit high electrical and thermal conductivity and good mechanical properties, making them suitable fillers for composites. Their effectiveness as a filler is affected by their state of aggregation. Novel ordered helical wrapping of poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) has been achieved on single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). This carbon nanotube composite not only thwarts CNT aggregation, but also may be successfully leveraged for applications such as electrical energy storage and mechanical reinforcement.

摘要: A sheet material for use in static dissipation applications comprises conductive staple fibres and a cross-linked binder system. Laminar structures comprising an insulating substrate and a layer of the sheet material are also disclosed as are static electricity dissipation assemblies comprising the laminar structure associated with an electrical conductor in contact with the sheet material layer of the laminar structure, the conductor also being for connection to an earthing point. The laminar structures and static dissipation assemblies may be used for constructing tanks, reservoirs and/or pipes that hold or convey flammable liquids in aircraft.
