摘要:
Example heat exchangers and methods of use are described herein. An example heat exchanger includes a lattice structure including a plurality of conduits defining a plurality of interstitial voids between the plurality of conduits. Each of the plurality of conduits includes an inlet and an outlet, and the plurality of conduits are arranged such that, between the inlet and the outlet, each of the conduits intersects at least one other conduit to enable flow between the intersecting conduits. The example heat exchanger also includes a first manifold formed unitarily with the lattice structure, the first manifold comprising a first plurality of openings in fluid communication with each inlet of the plurality of conduits. The example heat exchanger further includes a phase change material (PCM) disposed within and substantially filling the plurality of interstitial voids.

A tube for use in a heat exchanger comprises an upper portion, a base portion spaced from the upper portion, and a partitioning wall depending from the upper portion. The partitioning wall is bent away and spaced from the base portion in a first section of the tube to form a single flow channel within the tube along the first section. The partitioning wall contacts the base portion in a second section of the tube to form a partition separating a first flow channel from a second flow channel along the second section. The first section of the tube is configured for reception into an opening of a header tank of the heat exchanger.

The heat exchanger includes heat exchange units. Each of the heat exchange units includes a plurality of plate fins and a plurality of flat tubes. The plate fins are arranged spaced apart from one another at intervals so as to allow air to flow therebetween. The flat tubes each have an L shape by bending and inserted through the plate fins so that a refrigerant flows therethrough in a direction in which the plate fins are arranged. The heat exchange units are combined to each other so as to form a rectangular shape. Thus, heat exchange can be efficiently performed by increasing the mounting area.

Dehumidifying cooling apparatus and method are provided for an electronics rack. The apparatus includes an air-to-liquid heat exchanger disposed at an air inlet or outlet side of the rack, wherein air flows through the rack from the air inlet to the air outlet side. The heat exchanger is positioned for air passing through the electronics rack to pass across the heat exchanger, and is in fluid communication with a coolant loop for passing coolant therethrough at a temperature below a dew point temperature of the air passing across the heat exchanger so that air passing across the heat exchanger is dehumidified and cooled. A condensate collector, disposed below the heat exchanger, collects liquid condensate from the dehumidifying of air passing through the electronics rack, wherein the heat exchanger includes a plurality of sloped surfaces configured to facilitate drainage of liquid condensate from the heat exchanger to the condensate collector.

A heat exchanger including a tube having inlet ends and outlet ends and defining a flow path therebetween. The tube can have a first section and a second section arranged at an angle with respect to the first section. Each of the first section and the second section can include a first subsection and a second subsection arranged at an angle with respect to the first subsection.

An ice-making machine having an ice-forming surface upon which ice is formed, a refrigeration system including a microchannel evaporator that cools the ice-forming surface, and a water-supply system. The microchannel evaporator includes a microchannel tube that facilitates a distributed cooling effect in a contact area between the microchannel tube and the ice-forming surface. In some embodiments, the microchannel tube includes a series of recessed portions that define insulated regions and divide the tube into non-insulated regions. The insulated and non-insulated regions can be dimensioned to form individual ice cubes on the ice-forming surface. In other embodiments, spaces between microchannel tubes and/or spaces between the ice-forming surface and microchannel tubes can form insulated regions at least partially defining the size and shape of ice produced by the ice-making machine. The ice-forming surface can be attached to the microchannel tubes by adhesive and/or cohesive bonding material (such as glue, epoxy, or other adhesive).

Air conditioning units, methods of manufacturing, inventories, and buildings wherein certain heat exchanger modules are combined to make air conditioning units. In some embodiments, different combinations of different size modules are used to produce air conditioning units having different capacities wherein some identical modules are used in different size units. Various heat exchanger assemblies include spacers between modules, bends formed after modules are assembled into heat exchanger assemblies, attachment rails at the ends of the modules, inactive multi-tubes at the top and bottom of the modules, copper tubing between aluminum modules to facilitate field replacement of individual modules, name plates that attach between modules, attachment clips or spacers that snap attach to the modules, or a combination thereof, as examples.

A radiator for a motorcycle having a core with an arcuate front surface. The radiator tanks remain parallel. The radiator is retained by means of a pin and fastener means nonconcentrically arranged to insure proper mounting under heavy load road conditions. The tubes of the core may be arranged in either vertical or horizontal extension and may be arcuate to define the concave front surface of the core. Straight tubes of varying width may also be employed to define the arcuate front surface.
