    摘要: An electric heating device a housing with a partition wall which separates a connection chamber from a heating chamber for dissipating heat and from which at least one PTC heating element with a heating element casing protrudes in the direction toward the heating chamber. At least one PTC element and conductor tracks, electrically connected in the connection chamber for energizing the PTC element with different polarities and connected to the PTC element in an electrically conductive manner, are supported in the heating element casing an insulated manner. For improved support of the PTC heating element, a holding element, engaging around the heating element casing, is connected to the partition wall on its side facing the heating chamber and is connected to the heating element casing. Also disclosed is a method for the manufacture of such an electric heating device.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for thermally processing material on a low-temperature substrate using pulsed light from a flash lamp is disclosed. Material is conveyed past the flash lamp. The pulses of light are formed by Pulse Width Modulation to tailor the shape of the pulses to generate a thermal gradient in the substrate that enables the material to be heated beyond the maximum working temperature of the substrate without damage. Its shaped pulse rate is synchronized to the conveyance speed of a conveyance system. By using the information from a feedback sensor, the thermal gradient is recalculated to alter the shape of the pulses in real time for optimizing subsequent curings in real time without powering down the curing apparatus. The combined pulse shaping and synchronization allow a temperature profile to be tailored in the sample that is uniformly cured in the conveyance direction.

    摘要: A control circuit for a heating pad. The control circuit includes a two-pole, four-position slide switch. The four positions of the two-pole, four-position slide switch include off and three different heat settings of the heating pad. The control circuit also includes three heat setting indicators that are alternatively illuminated when the switch is in the three different heat settings. Diodes are used to direct electrical currents through the indicators as appropriate. The diodes and the two-pole, four-position slide switch are arranged so that current may be appropriately flow through, or may be blocked from flowing through, the indicators when the two-pole, four-position slide switch is in each of the three heating settings.

    摘要: The present invention is a temperature measurement device for furnace heating elements, a furnace utilizing the temperature measurement device and a method for measuring a temperature of the heating element utilizing the temperature measurement device. In its most basic form, the temperature measurement device of the present invention comprises a first electrical connector for carrying a first input signal from a heating element of a furnace, a second electrical connector for carrying a second input signal from a transformer of the furnace, a voltage measurement device in electrical connection with the first input signal and the second input signal, a current measurement device in electrical connection with the first input signal and the second input signal, a resistance measuring device in electrical communication with the voltage measurement device and the current measurement device for calculating the resistance of the heating element, and a temperature calculator in electrical communication with the resistance measuring device for comparing the resistance of the heating element with a plurality of predetermined resistance versus temperature relationships to determine a temperature of the heating element corresponding to the resistance of the heating element. The preferred temperature measurement device includes a summing device for determining a difference in a voltage between the first input signal and the second input signal and a dividing device for dividing a voltage through the heating element by a current through the heating element to determine the resistance of the heating element.

The housing has at least one opening to allow volatized materials from the impregnated pad to escape from the housing.

    摘要: A heating pad with a thermostatic control circuit coupled to a resistance heating element. The resistance heating element and an acrylic based polymer adhesive are glued between polyester film layers. The film layers and heating element are contained with a plastic sleeve. The thickness and properties of the polyester film and adhesive forms a fuse. The adhesive delaminates the polyester film at excessive temperatures causing the resistance heating element to sever thereby creating an open circuit that halts operation of the heating pad. The thermostatic control circuit includes a hysteresis circuit that compares analog signals across two thin film resistors to provide a control signal to a power controller to selectively vary the power output to the heating element. The thermostatic control circuit is an integrated circuit board disposed within the fused plastic sleeve.
