    摘要: An apparatus and process mechanically remove hydrocarbons and other contaminants from solids through high energy slurry impact with a stationary plate or through high energy slurry impact of two or more slurry streams. In addition to the mechanical process, a gas additive, such as CO2, in solid, liquid or gas form, can be introduced into the slurry stream. The presence of gas additive can aid in the liberation of the contaminant. The process can increase efficiencies, reduce costs and improve thoroughness of contaminate cleaning in conjunction with aqueous pressure and sheer energy.

    摘要: An assembly and method for gravitationally separating gold from particles, and specifically for separating small components of gold, less than 1 millimeter from small particles. A series of sieves having graduated mesh sizes, and arranged in a sequential, stacked configuration sieves the aggregate of large particles and larger components of gold. The remaining small particles and smaller components of gold fall into a container. A pressurized column of fluid is forced into the container. The fluid has sufficient flow velocity to suspend the lighter small particles, but insufficient flow velocity to support the denser, high specific gravity gold. Gold has a large specific gravity relative to the fluid and particles. Gravity causes the gold to falls into a transparent collection conduit. Manipulation of valves enables gold to redirect to a collection bin. Fluid flow is shut, enabling small particles to be flushed out through gravitational forces and excess fluid momentum.

    摘要: An industrially highly useful CNT separation method is provided whereby metallic CNTs and semiconducting CNTs can be efficiently separated and purified in large quantities in a short time period from CNTs containing these carbon nanotubes, using inexpensive equipment and in simple steps, and whereby metallic CNTs and semiconducting CNTs can be separated at low cost. The CNT separation method includes adding a CNT dispersion to a powder-charged separation vessel to selectively adsorb the semiconducting CNTs to the powder, and eluting the semiconducting CNTs adsorbed to the powder after collecting the metallic CNTs.
