Abstract: What is provided is a method for producing a composite-particle composition including a first step of obtaining a dispersion liquid of fine fibers; a second step of coating a surface of liquid droplets of a polymerizable monomer or a polymer with the fine fibers in the dispersion liquid to stabilize the liquid droplets as an emulsion; a third step of polymerizing the liquid droplets of the polymerizable monomer or the polymer to obtain composite particles including the polymer coated with the fine fibers; and a fourth step of adsorbing a compound that forms an ionic bond in a pair with an ionic functional group of the fine fibers onto the fine fibers in the surface of the composite particles.

Abstract: An engineered material includes methacrylated hyaluronic acid conjugated with 3-thiophene acetic acid or with poly(3-thiophene) acetic acid. Preparation can include Fischer esterification of methacrylated hyaluronic acid with 3-thiophene acetic acid or with poly(3-thiophene) acetic acid in the presence of an acid activator to produce methacrylated hyaluronic acid conjugated with 3-thiopheneacetic acid or with poly(3-thiophene) acetic acid. Precursor preparation can include doping the 3-thiophene acetic acid or poly(3-thiophene) acetic acid with iodine for example to influence conductivity.

Abstract: A cell tissue gel, comprising one or more matrix molecules cross-linked with a cross-linking agent, and a quenching agent bound to a reactive group of the cross-linking agent, wherein the quenching agent contains a moiety that is capable of reacting with the reactive group of the cross-linking agent and the one or more matrix molecules contain one or more functional groups that are capable of cross-linking with the reactive group, the amount of the reactive group of the cross-linking agent being equal to or less than a total amount including the amount of the one or more functional groups and the amount of the moiety.

The hydrogel composition of the present invention has good compatibility of raw materials, which does not cause HA precipitation, and a hydrogel material produced therefrom simultaneously has good mechanical properties, good swell capability and good biocompatibility, such that the hydrogel material can be applied in many fields.

Abstract: Provided are methods of attaching a mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moiety to a polymeric carbohydrate backbone using an amide linkage. The amide linkage may be found between a leash, such as an amine terminated leash, and the mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moieties. The compounds and compositions disclosed utilizing the amide linkage provide for highly stable compounds with a significant reduction in loss of mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moieties from the polymeric carbohydrate backbone.
