摘要: An ultra-high solids content primer coating composition comprising: (i) 5.0 to 50 wt % of at least one bisphenol F epoxy resin; (ii) 1.5 to 12 wt % of at least one silane; (iii) 0 to 20 wt % of at least one hydrocarbon resin; (iv) 0 to 15 wt % of at least one reactive diluent; (v) at least one curing agent; wherein said composition has a solids content of at least 90 wt % according to ASTM D5201-05; wherein said composition has a viscosity of 200 to 800 cps at 23° C. and 50% RH (ASTM D4287); and wherein the ratio between hydrogen equivalents in the curing agent and epoxy equivalents of the coating composition is in the range 50:100 to 120:100.

摘要: Disclosed are compositions, methods and processes for fabricating and using a device or other implement including a surface or surfaces having a nanoscale or microscale layer or coating of Si—O—N—P. These coatings and/or layers may be continuous, on the surface or discontinuous (e.g., patterned, grooved), and may be provided on silica surfaces, metal (e.g., titanium), ceramic, and combination/hybrid materials. Methods of producing an implantable device, such as a load-bearing or non-load-bearing device, such as a bone or other structural implant device (load-bearing), are also presented. Craniofacial, osteogenic and disordered bone regeneration (osteoporosis) uses and applications of devices that include at least one surface that is treated to include a nanoscale or microscale layer or coating of Si—O—N—P are also provided. Methods of using the treated and/or coated devices to enhance enhanced vascularization and healing at a treated surface of a device in vivo, is also presented.

摘要: Sealants and caulks (i.e., polymeric fillers) disclosed herein are polymeric fillers that comprises a polymeric material composition and one or more lipolytic enzymes dispersed within the polymeric material composition. In preferred embodiments, the polymeric material composition is an acrylic latex sealant such as that in the form of a caulk and the one or more lipolytic enzymes comprises a lipase such as, preferably, a triacylglycerol lipase. Advantageously, the one or more lipolytic enzymes of such sealants and caulks degrades lipid-containing contaminants and resulting lipid-containing stains that contain lipids. The degradation is a result of the ability of a lipolytic enzyme to catalyze a reaction on a lipid-containing substance (i.e., a substrate) to hydrolyze or move (e.g., intra-esterification) ester bonds of such lipid-containing substance. This lipid-degradation functionality at least partially inhibits the growth of such mold and mildew resulting from exposure to lipid-containing contaminants.

Loss of the sacrificial particles increases roughness and reduces the contact angle with water, providing a hydrophilic surface that is wettable and hence self-cleaning. Also described are specific types of TIA, methods of making the paint, methods of making a hydrophilic surface, and kits.

Specifically, a plasticizer composition for a vinyl chloride resin including an aliphatic diester (A) of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 2 to 12 carbon atoms and an aliphatic monoalcohol having 4 to 18 carbon atoms, an aromatic diester (B) of an aromatic monocarboxylic acid having 6 to 12 carbon atoms and a glycol having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, and a phthalate (C), in which aliphatic diester (A):aromatic diester (B)=65:35 to 95:5 (mass ratio) is satisfied and (aliphatic diester (A)+aromatic diester (B)):phthalate (C)=5:95 to 35:65 (mass ratio) is satisfied.
