摘要: Devices and methods for controlling the local pH of solutions (e.g., for parallelized polymer synthesis) are generally described. These may offer several advantages, including the ability to control pH using a plurality of pixels, and/or the ability to sense the pH associated with each pixel, according to certain embodiments. In some embodiments, such devices are used to selectively synthesize polymer sequences (e.g., DNA sequences) associated with each pixel. The pixels can, in some embodiments, comprise electrodes that can apply an electrical potential or current to a solution comprising an electrically sensitive pH modifier. In some cases, reaction of the electrically sensitive pH modifier may cause a change in pH. The pixels may comprise circuit components that can operate in multiple modes (e.g. as potentiostats, galvanostats, or open-circuit potential sensors capable of sensing local pH).

摘要: A method for nucleic acid sequencing includes receiving a plurality of signals indicative of a parameter measured for a plurality of defined spaces, at least some of the defined spaces including one or more sample nucleic acids, the signals being responsive to a plurality of nucleotide flows introducing nucleotides to the defined spaces; determining, for at least some of the defined spaces, whether the defined space includes a sample nucleic acid; processing, for at least some of the defined spaces determined to include a sample nucleic acid, the received signals to improve a quality of the received signals; and predicting a plurality of nucleotide sequences corresponding to respective sample nucleic acids for the defined spaces based on the processed signals and the nucleotide flows.

When the sample is dispensed to the second measurement unit by the sampling mechanism 5 or measurement of the sample is performed by the second measurement unit, the control unit 13 measures the potential in a state in which ion-selective electrodes 104, 105, and 106 are filled with an internal standard liquid, and determines, on the basis of measured data, whether or not there is an abnormality in the electrolyte measurement unit 11. An electrolyte analysis device capable of sensing an unstable state at an early stage, and a method for determining an abnormality in an electrolyte concentration measurement unit, are thereby provided.

In addition, a sensing electrode is formed by creating openings in a passivation layer of the CMOS-integrated semiconductor integrated circuit to hold a single bead, on which the DNA strands are immobilized.

摘要: A sub adjustment pump cell pumps out oxygen from a measurement gas introduced into a sub adjustment chamber to the extent that H2O and CO2 contained in the measurement gas are not decomposed, a first pump cell pumps out oxygen from a first chamber so that substantially all of H2O and CO2 contained in the measurement gas introduced from the sub adjustment chamber into the first chamber are decomposed, concentrations of H2O and CO2 are identified from a pump-in current when H2 and CO generated by decomposition are oxidized in the second chamber and the third chamber, and a concentration of oxygen contained in the measurement gas is identified based on a magnitude of a current flowing between a sub adjustment inner electrode and an outer electrode at the time when the sub adjustment pump cell pumps out oxygen from the sub adjustment chamber.
