The apparatus additionally includes an intermediate limit switch that is activated in response to the portion being moved to an intermediate position on the guided path. The apparatus also includes a processing device configured to calibrate the apparatus based on a first reading corresponding to a first position on the guided path and a second reading corresponding to a second position on the guided path. The processing device verifies the calibration based on a third reading corresponding to the intermediate position.

    摘要: A unit of information technology equipment (ITE), such as a compute node or a network switch, comprises a system board in communication with network connectors that selectively connect to a network interconnect, a gravity sensor for detecting a first orientation and a second orientation of the system board, and a basic input/output system (BIOS) in communication with the gravity sensor to receive a signal identifying whether the system board is in the first or second orientation. The ITE further comprises a network ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) that inverts the pinout of transmit and receive signals in the network connectors in response to a command from the BIOS indicating that the system board is in the second orientation. A system may comprise a first ITE in a first orientation that interlocks with a second ITE in a second orientation that is inverted 180 degrees from the first orientation.

The key signals input apparatus has a plurality of keys and a signal conversion module. The signal conversion module converts key signals into an analog voltage before directing to the chip for further processing. An analog signal decoding module designed in the chip decodes the analog signal so as to recover a plurality of input key values such that the chip may perform further operations according to the indication of the key signals.

    摘要: A free-running microcontroller (i.e., one without any reset signal) is shown with special mode enable detect logic for placing the microcontroller into the test or special operations mode, without the benefit of a dedicated pin for such purposes. Rather, the instant invention implements the methodology of first applying a test voltage to indicate to the free-running microcontroller that the test mode is to be entered. Since the device has no reset signal to interrupt normal operation once it has begun, the test voltage is applied before the power supply V.sub.DD to ensure that the device enters test mode before it can enter normal operation.
