摘要: A device and method for processing Virtual Reality (VR) data is disclosed. The method comprises transmitting feedback information from the device to a server, wherein the feedback information is captured in the device, receiving data from the server to be presented on the device based on the feedback information, wherein the data includes video data and audio data where the video data is a frame of video data in a sequence of frames and the audio data is the corresponding audio data of the frame, decoding the video data and corresponding audio data of the frame, and controlling the presentation of the video data and corresponding audio data on the device such that the video data is synchronized with the corresponding audio data.

摘要: A transmitter apparatus used in a video distribution system includes: first encoding means configured to output a first stream in multi-stream encoding; second encoding means configured to output a second stream in the multi-stream encoding; and multiplexing means configured to multiplex and output the first stream and the second stream. The first encoding means outputs encoded data obtained by encoding a main video image as the first stream. The second encoding means outputs encoded data obtained by encoding a partial presentation area to be presented by being added to the main video image as the second stream.

摘要: A system comprises television equipment and a number of portable electronic devices. The television equipment includes a large display and control circuitry. The control circuitry receives media content and media guidance data for display on the display. The control circuitry also includes communication components for communicating with the portable electronic devices. The portable electronic devices are operable for displaying video and communicating with the television equipment. A method comprises the steps of receiving media guidance information with a first portable electronic device; transmitting at least some of the media guidance information from the first portable electronic device to the control circuitry of the television equipment; and displaying the media guidance information from the first portable electronic device on the display of the television equipment while simultaneously displaying media content or media guidance information received from a source other than the first portable electronic device.

摘要: A system and method for transmitting still images and a video feed from an unmanned aerial vehicle to a ground station is disclosed. The system includes an aircraft including a digital video camera to capture still images and video frames of an object. A video encoder is coupled to the camera to provide a video output including video packets. A file server is coupled to the camera to provide a still image output including image data packets. A multiplexer is coupled to the video output and the still image output. The multiplexer produces a data transmission including the video packets and the image data packets. A transmitter sends the data transmission to the ground station. The ground station receives the data transmission and demultiplexes the packets into separate video and image data packets. The ground control station may select the ratio the video stream images in relation to the still image to be transmitted from the aircraft.

This technology may be applied to data transmission methods such as the IP transmission method or the MPEG2-TS method, for example.-

摘要: A data generation method is for generating video data that covers a second luminance dynamic range wider than a first luminance dynamic range and has reproduction compatibility with a first device that does not support reproduction of video having the second luminance dynamic range and supports reproduction of video having the first luminance dynamic range, and includes: generating a video signal to be included in the video data using a second OETF; storing, into VUI in the video data, first transfer function information for identifying a first OETF to be referred to by the first device when the first device decodes the video data; and storing, into SEI in the video data, second transfer function information for identifying a second OETF to be referred to by a second device supporting reproduction of video having the second luminance dynamic range when the second device decodes the video data.

摘要: A portable information terminal includes a controller configured to control a communication interface to transmit a charging permission response to a broadcast receiving apparatus in response to a charging permission request data transmitted when a broadcasting program that a user of the broadcast receiving apparatus desires to view contains an asset that requires charging. The charging permission response is allowed to be transmitted when positional information indicates that the portable information terminal is positioned inside of a predetermined positional range and apparatus identification information in the charging permission request data, by which the broadcast receiving apparatus is allowed to be identified, coincides with apparatus identification information stored in a memory. The controller controls the communication interface to transmit a charging denial response to the broadcast receiving apparatus when the positional information indicates that the portable information terminal is positioned outside of the predetermined positional range.

摘要: The present technology ensures that electrooptical conversion processing for transmission video data obtained using an HDR optoelectrical conversion characteristic is favorably carried out at a receiving side. The transmission video data is obtained by performing high dynamic range optoelectrical conversion on high dynamic range video data. A video stream is obtained by applying encoding processing to this transmission video data. A container in a predetermined format including this video stream is transmitted. Meta information indicating an electrooptical conversion characteristic corresponding to a high dynamic range optoelectrical conversion characteristic is inserted into a parameter set field in the video stream.
