摘要: Assigning a program clock reference (PCR) value to a PCR packet. A theoretical input time and a theoretical output time is determined for a PCR packet received by a Remote PHY device (RPD) or a Remote MACPHY Device (RMD). A corrected PCR value is assigned to the PCR packet, based at least in part, on the theoretical output time and the theoretical output time. Then, the PCR packet having the corrected PCR value is transmitted to customer premises equipment (CPE) in a Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP). Assigning a corrected PCR value to the PCR packet may be performed without learning an encoding rate associated with a program to which the PCR value is assigned.

摘要: A system (1000) is disclosed including a resource allocation optimization (RAO) platform (1002) for optimizing the allocation of resources in network (1004) for delivery of assets to user equipment devices (UEDs) (1012). The RAO platform (1002) determines probabilities that certain asset delivery opportunities (ADOs) will occur within a selected time window and uses these probabilities together with information concerning values of asset delivery to determine an optimal use of asset deliveries. In this regard, the RAO platform (1004) received historical data from repository (1014) that facilitates calculation of probabilities that ADOs will occur. Such information may be compiled based on asset delivery records for similar network environments in the recent past or over time.

摘要: An audio/video stream recording, storage, and delivery system 10 utilizes an Internet-based browser connection. The system 10 includes recording software 20, storage memory 30, a code generator 40, and a user interface 50. Preferably, the recording software 20 is located on the host back end 60 where it processes and records audio and video material that originates from the user front end 70 and is streamed to the host back end. The storage memory 30, which is also located on the host back end 60, stores the recorded audio and video material. The user interface 50 to the system provides a user located at the user front end 70 with remote access to a virtual recording room. The user interface 50 further enables the user to record audio and video material streamed from the user front end 70 by activating the recording software 20 located on the host back end 60. This is accomplished without requiring recording functionality on the user front end 70. The code generator 30 produces code associated with the recorded audio and video material. This code can be easily copied and pasted to an additional location 80, such as an auction website. Activating the code pasted at the additional location 80 provides access to the recorded audio and video material from the additional location while allowing the recorded audio and video material to remain stored at the host back end 60.

摘要: An interactive video distribution system and video player are described. A client server arrangement may be used for providing a video player and video content to a client device. The video player may display navigation images enabling navigation to specific portions of the video content by activating a corresponding navigation image. The video player may also enable the sharing of a segment of the video with other video players, enabling the video players to play the streamed segment of the video without having to play the entire video, thereby reducing network bandwidth usage. The video player may be embeddable. The server may associate searchable tags with respective video segments.

摘要: Systems and methods for switching from a linearly distributed live content and/or internet stream to other contents are provided by aligning timing between contents. Break points may be programmed between diverse non-time synced source encoder of the respective contents to facilitate switching between contents. A first linear stream is caused to be provided. A switchover time to a second linear stream is then identified. The second linear stream is caused to be provided at the switchover time. In different embodiments, switching may occur between different number of contents using the described systems and methods. One or more streaming contents may be up-converted and/or down-converted in different streaming systems.

摘要: In one aspect, an example method includes receiving, by a computing system, media content; generating, by the computing system, a fingerprint of the received media content; determining, by the computing system, that a channel-change operation was performed; responsive to determining that the channel-change operation was performed, transmitting, by the computing system, the generated fingerprint to a content identification server to identify the received media content; and performing an action based on the identified media content.

A virtual manifest is created for the user device based on the one or more parameters. The method automatically generates a new stream of data for the content based on the virtual manifest. The new stream of data comprises adjusts a size or length of one or more segments of an original stream of data. The method delivers the content to the user device based on the new stream of data.

The device includes radiofrequency (RF) communication circuitry communicatively coupled to processing circuitry and configured to receive a broadcast digital television signal. The processing circuitry configured to receive a user selection of broadcast digital television content to be obtained. The RF communication circuitry controlled to select a frequency band corresponding to the broadcast digital television content from the broadcast digital television signal. Encoded broadcast digital content is received from the RF communication circuitry and a digital bitstream is decoded to obtain the selected broadcast digital television content therein.
