The release film includes a base material having both major surfaces, a releasing agent layer provided on one major surface of the base material, and an antistatic layer provided on the other major surface of the base material, wherein the releasing agent layer and the antistatic layer are mainly composed of the same material, and when the surface roughness of the outer surface of the releasing agent layer is defined as Ra1 [nm] and the surface roughness of the outer surface of the antistatic layer is defined as Ra2 [nm], the relations of Ra1≦15 and Ra1≦Ra2 are satisfied. The casting film, which is employed for the production of a ceramic green sheet to be used in a ceramic capacitor, a laminated inductor element and the like, can easily be produced, has favorable adhesiveness to a substrate film, is excellent in ceramic slurry coating property and releasability from a ceramic green sheet, and possesses high flatness that has never been realized by any of the prior arts together with high antistatic property.

A releasing film for ceramic green sheet production processes a base material, a resin layer laminated on a first surface of the base material. The resin layer has a conductive polymer and with a thickness of 30-290 nm. A releasing agent layer is laminated on the resin layer, and the surface of the releasing agent layer has a maximum profile peak height of 10-100 nm. A second surface of the base material preferably has an arithmetic mean roughness of 5-50 nm and a maximum profile peak height of 40-300 nm. Such a releasing film can obtain high smoothness of the releasing agent layer and effectively suppress the electrostatic charge while suppressing the releasing agent layer from dropping off.
