Abstract: A system for sharing sensor data between a vehicle and a plurality of remote system generally includes a vehicle communication system, a three-dimensional (3D) sensor, and a controller. The controller is programmed to generate an initial 3D point cloud using the 3D sensor, generate an occupancy grid map based on the initial 3D point cloud, and select a producer remote system to provide data for a cell of the occupancy grid map classified as a first blindspot. The controller is further programmed to send a data request to the producer remote system using the vehicle communication system, receive data from the producer remote system including information about the cell of the occupancy grid map classified as the first blindspot, generate a merged 3D point cloud by merging the data received from the producer remote system with the initial 3D point cloud, and identify objects using the merged 3D point cloud.

Abstract: A system for dynamically calculating collision avoidance metric thresholds for a vehicle includes a vehicle sensor, a passenger position tracking device, and a controller. The controller is in electrical communication with the vehicle sensor and the passenger position tracking device. The controller is programmed to determine a collision avoidance metric using the vehicle sensor, determine an offset to a collision avoidance metric threshold using the passenger position tracking device, and adjust the collision avoidance metric threshold based on the offset. The controller is also programed to compare the collision avoidance metric to the collision avoidance metric threshold and perform an action in response to determining that the collision avoidance metric is less than or equal to the collision avoidance metric threshold.

Abstract: A one pedal driving system for an electric vehicle including one or more electric motors includes a controller in wireless communication with one or more external vehicle networks. The controller executes instructions to receive, from the one or more external vehicle networks, an active zone notification that indicates the electric vehicle is traveling into a one pedal driving zone. The one pedal driving zone represents a section of roadway where the electric vehicle decelerates from an initial speed. The controller executes instructions to receive a pedal notification that a driver foot is removed from an accelerator pedal of the electric vehicle. In response to receiving the active zone notification and the pedal notification, the controller instructs the electric vehicle to decelerate from the initial speed by a regenerative braking torque that is created by the one or more electric motors to counteract a forward momentum of the electric vehicle.

Abstract: A method in a vehicle includes receiving a vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) message transmitted from a communication system affixed to infrastructure at a location. The V2I message includes at least one category of information among a plurality of categories of information and the plurality of categories of information include map-based information and road safety information. The method also includes determining, based on performing at least one type of verification, whether a misbehavior has occurred with respect to the V2I message. The misbehavior indicates incorrect information in the V2I message. A counter is maintained of a number of times the misbehavior has occurred with respect to the V2I message at the location, and the misbehavior is reported based on the counter.
