The present invention is a workpiece support apparatus and method of making of using the same. A holding fixture frame supports the workpiece about the perimeter and also locates the workpiece. A series of support wires keep the workpiece from sagging inside the holding fixture frame. The support wires provide support while allowing top and bottom access to the workpiece. The workpiece remains flat at the point of the machining operation.

The method further includes fluxing the laminate substrate, placing a chip onto the laminate substrate, and placing the fixture into a reflow furnace to join the chip and the laminate substrate.

The system temporarily deactivates, for a specified time duration, an override condition of a safety concept of the system when the accelerator sensor records the driver's intention to accelerate and the vehicle speed is below a specified speed threshold. Thus the driver's acceleration command when setting the vehicle in motion temporarily cannot override an automatic actuation of the emergency brake system.

Disclosed is a process for preparing an antimicrobial article, wherein a silver colloid is formed in situ as a result of the components employed. The process comprises the steps of (i) providing a liquid, which contains a soluble polar polymer in a solvent selected from certain polar organic solvents; (ii) adding a silver salt selected from alpha-functionalized silver carboxylates to said liquid; (iii) allowing the mixture to react with formation of a silver colloid; and (iv) separating the solvent from the mixture and forming of the antimicrobial article. The antimicrobial articles thus obtained may be sheets, films, fibres, coating layers, and especially membranes like a semipermeable membrane for ultrafiltration, water separation or gas separation.
