An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) resin particle composition, an EVOH film formed therefrom, and a multilayer structure containing the same. The EVOH resin particle composition includes: a first EVOH resin particle having a surface core void volume (Vvc) of 0.002˜14 μm3/μm2; and a second EVOH resin particle having a surface core void volume (Vvc) of 0.010˜48 μm3/μm2. This can improve the thermoformability of EVOH compositions.

A colorized and tribologically modified polyoxymethylene polymer composition is disclosed. The polyoxymethylene polymer composition is comprised of a polyoxymethylene polymer in combination with at least one tribological modifier. The tribological modifier may include a fluoropolymer. The polymer composition further contains at least one coloring agent in combination with a color stabilizer. The color stabilizer has been found to dramatically improve color consistency. Polymer articles molded from the polymer composition not only have excellent surface appearance but have excellent low friction characteristics when tested against aluminum.

The method includes a first mixing step, in which a polymer base, recycled rubber, and silica are mixed together; and a second mixing step, in which a curing system is added and mixed to the compound from the first mixing step. 5 to 20 phr of recycled rubber is added at the first mixing step. The recycled rubber is 75 to 800 um in size, and is treated beforehand cryogenically. And the polymer base is selected from SBR, BR, NR and mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to a rubber compound for producing a tread portion, a tread portion and a winter tire comprising said tread portion.
