    摘要: A flame-retardant thermoplastic elastomer composition is provided to produce a molded article possessing mechanical properties, flame retardancy and softness inherently possessed by a molted article obtained from a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing a mineral oil-based softening agent and a flame retardant and fails to stain a mold after injection molding. A production method includes step (1) obtaining a thermoplastic elastomer composition by dynamically crosslinking a polymer mixture (A) containing an ethylene-α-olefin-based copolymer rubber (A1) and a propylene-based polymer (A2) in the presence of a mineral oil-based softening agent (C) and a crosslinking agent (D), and step (2) kneading the thermoplastic elastomer composition, a halogen-free flame retardant (E), zinc oxide (F), and a thermoplastic resin with a polar group (G). The amounts of the components satisfy condition (p) when starting the dynamic crosslinking in step (1) and satisfy condition (q) when starting the kneading in step (2), respectively.

    摘要: A composition contains (a) 1 to 40 weight percent of poly(phenylene ether) particles having a mean particle size of 1 to 40 micrometers; and (b) 60 to 99 weight percent of a polyoxymethylene; wherein polystyrene is absent from the poly(phenylene ether) particles; wherein the composition comprises less than 0.1 volume percent, based on the total volume of the composition, of particulate metals, metalloids, oxides thereof, and combinations thereof, wherein the metals and metalloids are selected from iron, copper, aluminum, magnesium, lead, zinc, tin, chromium, nickel, tungsten, silicon, gold, silver, platinum, and alloys thereof. The poly(phenylene ether) particles reduce the density and increase the char yield of the polyoxymethylene. When the composition is prepared at a temperature below the glass transition temperature of the poly(phenylene ether), increased flexural strength can also be obtained. The composition is useful as a molding composition for a variety of articles.

    摘要: The instant invention provides a crosslinkable aqueous composition, method of producing the same, crosslinked compositions, and method of producing the same. The crosslinkable composition comprising: an aqueous dispersion comprising; (a) water; (b) a polycarbamate comprising at least an average of 2.0 carbamate functional groups; (c) a polyaldehyde comprising at least two aldehyde groups; (d) an acid catalyst; and (e) optionally one or more surfactants; wherein said aqueous dispersion has a pH in the range of less than 7; and wherein said composition is capable of being crosslinked at a temperature in range of less than 80° C. upon substantial removal of water.
