Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate visualizing how a user will appear in response to adhering to a health and fitness program. In an aspect, a system includes a reception component configured to receive information corresponding to a user's physical appearance and physical health, an analysis component configured to determine or infer one or more changes to the user's physical appearance based on predicted performance of a health and fitness program by the user and the user's physical health, and a visualization component is configured to generate a visual representation of the user based on the information and the one or more changes to the user's physical appearance.
Abstract:
A real-time virtual reality welding system including a programmable processor-based subsystem, a spatial tracker operatively connected to the programmable processor-based subsystem, at least one mock welding tool capable of being spatially tracked by the spatial tracker, and at least one display device operatively connected to the programmable processor-based subsystem. The system is capable of simulating, in virtual reality space, a weld puddle having real-time molten metal fluidity and heat dissipation characteristics. The system is further capable of displaying the simulated weld puddle on the display device in real-time.
Abstract:
Computer-implemented techniques for interactively training a user in performing a predetermined task related to at least one of food safety, workplace safety and food quality using a head wearable device are provided. The head wearable device comprises a digital display positioned within a field of view of the user, a camera to capture visual data from a first-person perspective, a user input device to provide control signals, and a processor. A series of steps are visually presented on the digital display in a predetermined order to direct the user through a process of performing the task. Visual data captured by the camera and the control signals provided from the user input device are analyzed during performance of one or more steps of the task. The computer-implemented techniques evaluate the user's performance of the one or more steps based on analysis of the visual data and the control signals.
Abstract:
Techniques for remotely interacting with physical performance of a task relating to at least one of food safety, food quality, and workplace safety are provided. A first user physically performs the task at a first location utilizes a head wearable device. A computing system is utilized by an operator to remotely interact with physical performance of the task from a remote second location. Audio and first-person visual data captured by the device are transmitted to the computing system during physical performance of the task. Audio data and visual captured by the computing system during remote interaction of the task are transmitted via the network to the head wearable device.
Abstract:
Activities, actions and events during user performance of physical activity may be detected using various algorithms and templates. Templates may include an arrangement of one or more states that may identify particular event types and timing between events. Templates may be specific to a particular type of activity (e.g., types of sports, drills, events, etc.), user, terrain, time of day and the like.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing augmented reality-based realistic experience. The apparatus for providing augmented reality-based realistic experience includes a hardware unit and a software processing unit. The hardware unit includes a mirror configured to have a reflective characteristic and a transmissive characteristic, a display panel configured to present an image of an augmented reality entity, and a sensor configured to acquire information about a user. The software processing unit presents the augmented reality entity via the display panel based on the information about the user from the hardware unit after performing color compensation on the color of the augmented reality entity.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a conditioning apparatus for conditioning a user includes a target, and an illumination source spaced apart from the target. The illumination source is configured to project a light upon the target for use in response to movement of the user.
Abstract:
An external defibrillator system is provided. The system includes: a graphical display; one or more sensors for obtaining data regarding chest compressions performed on a patient; and a controller configured to display on the graphical display numeric values for depth and/or rate of the chest compressions based upon the data from the one or more sensors. A method for using an external defibrillator including the steps of: obtaining data regarding chest compressions performed on a patient; and displaying on a graphical display screen of the defibrillator numeric values for depth and/or rate of the chest compressions based upon the data is also provided.
Abstract:
Systems and methods related to the field of cardiac resuscitation, and in particular to devices for assisting rescuers in performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are described herein.
