摘要: A fire monitoring system used in a fire alarm arrangement includes a fire receiver and a plurality of fire sensors connected to signal/power supply zone lines from the fire receiver to a plurality of fire warning zones, the sensors for short-circuiting the respective zone lines with a low impedance in case of a fire. An analog detector having an address is located at a given warning zone among the fire warning zones. The analog detector is connected to the corresponding signal/power supply zone line through an analog sensor controller having an operation circuit for calculating an analog signal obtained by address polling from the analog detector.

摘要: The specification discloses a method and apparatus for the assay of salicylate (or a derivative thereof) comprising a conducting body having at a surface thereof an enzyme capable of catalyzing the conversion of salicylate (or a derivative thereof) to a catechol whereby said catechol is subject to direct electrochemical measurement as it oxidizes at said surface to generate a current as a measure of the reaction taking place and thereby of the concentration of salicylate at said surface. The method typically comprises the steps of;(a) treating a liquid sample suspected of containing salicylate or a derivative thereof with an enzyme capable of catalyzing the conversion of salicylate or a derivative thereof into a catechol, and,(b) measuring the concentration of catechol in the treated sample by direct electrochemistry.

摘要: In a process for measuring the potential difference between a flow of sample liquid delivered by pumping and a reference electrolyte in which the sample flow is brought into contact with a reference electrode, the reference electrode contains a capillary channel, which extends substantially at right angles to the sample flow. The reference electrolyte is pumped at right angles to the capillary channel over its open end and the pumping of the flow of sample liquid and the flow of reference electrolyte starts and finishes simultaneously.

摘要: The invention relates to a control system for feedback control of the air/fuel ratio in an internal combustion engine by using a solid electrolyte oxygen sensor to sense oxygen in the exhaust gas. The oxygen sensor is of the type having an oxygen concentration cell and an oxygen ion pump cell to which a pumping current is supplied to vary the partial pressure of oxygen in the exhaust gas admitted in a measurement space in the sensor. The pumping current is controlled so as to nullify a difference between the output voltage of the oxygen concentration cell and a target voltage. A signal derived from the controlled pumping current is used as an air/fuel ratio signal on the premise that a definite correlation exists between the magnitude of the pumping current and the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas. To commence feedback control of the air/fuel ratio soon after starting the engine and after establishment of the definite correlation without unnecessary delay, the control system includes discrimination means for forming a judgment that the expected definite correlation has been established if the output voltage of the oxygen concentration cell surely falls within a predetermined tolerance range containing the target voltage. When such a judgment is formed the feedback control is immediately commenced.

摘要: A flow path in a flow analyzing apparatus is branched into two or more branch flow paths. In one of the branch flow paths, a flow path blockage detector and an electrolyte measuring electrode are disposed, and in the other branch flow path, a gas measuring electrode is disposed. When a liquid sample is introduced into the flow paths from a sampling nozzle of the common flow path, the blockage detector detects whether a blockage is occuring. If the blockage is detected, the blockage is removed by feeding a cleaning fluid into the common flow path in a direction opposite to the flow of the sample. Following this, the sample is introduced into the other branch flow path. By this operation, the pressure in the other branch flow path is not reduced abnormally, and thus normal operation of the gas measuring electrode can be maintained.

摘要: The present disclosure describes a method in which a sample is passed through a fluid flow path of a sensor assembly such that the sample intersects at least one sensor comprising at least three electrodes arranged such that two or more electrodes are opposing and two or more electrodes are beside one another. The sensor is read by a reader monitoring changes to the sensor due to the presence of the sample. The reader measures the presence and/or concentration of one or more analytes within the sample based upon data obtained by the reader.
