摘要: An electronic control unit includes two inverters, a magnetic sensor, a failure detection unit, an inverter driving unit, a signal examination unit, and a failed element identification unit. The magnetic sensor detects a magnetic flux generated around a winding. The failure detection unit detects an ON-state failure of the inverter. When the ON-state failure is detected, the inverter driving unit stops driving the inverter to which the ON-state failure has been detected, and continues driving the other inverter. The signal examination unit examines a presence or absence of a special signal. When there is a signal appearing according to a special magnetic flux, the failed element identification unit identifies a failed switching element based on a motor electric angle generated by the signal.

摘要: By detecting a temperature abnormality of a power semiconductor by using the power semiconductor as a temperature sensor, it is possible to detect deterioration and an abnormality of elements, a drive circuit and a cooling system, prevent a failure during an operation by taking an appropriate measure in advance, and make a system operational life long. More specifically, a power converting device which includes the power semiconductor and an arithmetic operation circuit which gives a drive instruction to the power semiconductor detects the temperature abnormality of the power semiconductor based on the drive instruction of the power semiconductor and a delay time of a control drive voltage applied to the power semiconductor to protect the power converting device. The power converting device which includes the power semiconductor and the arithmetic operation circuit gives the drive instruction compares and determines a delay time of the drive instruction and a control voltage applied to the power semiconductor and a reference value, and changes at least one of the drive instruction and the drive voltage based on a result of the comparison and the determination.

A power management apparatus may include a synchronous common coupling, a plurality of ports, and a plurality of electrically isolated stacks connected through the synchronous common coupling. Each electrically isolated stack may include at least one stage, each stage including a source/load bridge, a flux bridge, and a direct current (DC) bus. The source/load bridge may be connected to a source or load through one of the plurality of ports, the flux bridge may be connected to an electrically isolated winding in the synchronous common coupling, and the flux bridge may be connected to the source/load bridge through the DC bus.

摘要: An AC/DC converter receives an AC voltage at a first terminal and a second terminal. A rectifying bridge has a first input terminal coupled via a resistive element to the first terminal and a second input terminal connected to the second terminal, with output terminals of the rectifying bridge coupled to third and fourth terminals of the converter for generating a DC voltage. A first controllable rectifying thyristor couples the first terminal to the third terminal and a second controllable rectifying thyristor couples the fourth terminal to the first terminal. The resistive element functions as an inrush protection device during a first phase when the thyristors are turned off. In a second phase, the thyristors are selectively actuated.

摘要: An overvoltage limitation device, for an alternating current (AC) voltage generating system having an inverter circuit unit configured to supply power to a load with dynamic load impedance, includes: input connections for connection to the inverter circuit unit, output connections for connection to an intermediate circuit voltage unit connected to the inverter circuit unit, a rectifier including an alternating current connection and a direct current connection connected to the output connections, and an AC voltage converter including a primary side connected to the input connections and a secondary side connected to the alternating current connection. The overvoltage limitation device is configured such that, when peak values of an AC voltage exceed a first predetermined value at the input connections, power is transported from the input connections via the AC voltage converter and the rectifier to the output connections, and thus the AC voltage is limited to a second predetermined value.

摘要: A power conversion circuit includes first to fourth switching elements connected in series between ground and high voltage electrical paths, a first reactor, a main battery, a second reactor, a sub battery, a high voltage sensor for detecting a high voltage VH between the ground and high voltage electrical paths, and a controller. Upon issuance of an instruction for turning off all of the first to fourth switching elements, the controller determines that the third switching element is experiencing an ON failure when the high voltage VH is equal to the sum of a battery voltage VB1 of the main battery and a battery voltage VB2 of the sub battery, to thereby allow electrical power to be transferred between the batteries and a load even in the event of occurrence of the ON failure in the switching element.

The method includes detecting, via a first controller, an output voltage and an output current of a first power supply providing power to the redundant power supply system. The first controller determines if the output voltag0voltage is greater than the maximum output voltage threshold, the first controller determines if the output current is equal to zero. In response to determining that the output current is not equal to zero and not less than a common share bus current, the first power supply is disabled such that the first power supply does not provide power to the power supply system.
