摘要: A vision system for a vehicle includes a plurality of cameras with one camera functioning as a master camera and other cameras functioning as slave cameras. During a forward driving maneuver of the vehicle, a forward viewing camera functions as the master camera and at least a driver-side sideward viewing camera and a passenger-side sideward viewing camera function as slave cameras. During a reversing maneuver of the vehicle, a rearward viewing camera functions as the master camera and at least the driver-side sideward viewing camera and the passenger-side sideward viewing camera function as slave cameras. The vision system is operable to synthesize a composite image derived from image data captured by at least the master camera and the driver-side sideward viewing camera and the passenger-side sideward viewing camera. Operating parameters of the master camera are used at least by the driver-side sideward viewing camera and the passenger-side sideward viewing camera.

摘要: The present invention relates generally to a covert recording alarm apparatus for vehicles that includes one or more sensors strategically placed within the vehicle, e.g. in the car lock knob that are configured for detecting any instrument, added weight or pressure being applied to a vehicle's entry points. If any such force is detected, the apparatus' sensor(s) trigger an the image capturing mechanism to begin taking pictures and videos of the theft activity which is transmitted as an alert to legal authorities, a monitoring service and/or the owner/operator's mobile phone where it is published and displayed as a video, text or email such that the appropriate action can be taken.

A display unit in the interior of the motor vehicle reproduces at least one image section of the image flow. A display control unit of the motor vehicle automatically modifies the environmental section shown to the driver by reproducing the image section using the display unit. During the reproduction of the image section, in addition to the representation of the environmental section, at least first optical information relating to the position of the environmental section relative to the motor vehicle is output to the driver.

摘要: A method for navigating a vehicle automatically from a current location to a destination location without a human operator is disclosed. The method includes identifying a vehicle location using global positioning system (GPS) data regarding the vehicle. Also included is identifying that the vehicle location is near or at a parking location. Then, using mapping data defined for the parking location. The mapping data at least in part is used to find a path at the parking location to avoid a collision of the vehicle with at least one physical structure when the vehicle is automatically moved at the parking location. The method includes instructing the electronics of the vehicle to proceed with controlling the vehicle to automatically move from the current location to the destination location at the parking location. The electronics use as input at least part of the mapping data and sensor data collected from around the vehicle by at least two vehicle sensors. The path is configured to be updatable dynamically based on changes in the destination location or changes along the path. The destination location is a parking spot for the vehicle at the parking location.
