摘要： A drive mechanism for delivery of infusion medium has a coil and an armature is moveable toward a forward position, in response to the electromagnetic field produced by activation of the coil. A piston is moveable axially within a piston channel to a forward position, in response to movement of the armature to its forward position. The armature and piston are moved toward a retracted position, when the coil is not energized. In the retracted position of the piston, a piston chamber is formed between the piston and a valve member and is filled with infusion medium. As the piston is moved to its forward position, the piston chamber volume is reduced and pressure within the piston chamber increases to a point where the pressure moves the valve member into an open position through an outlet.

摘要： A cylinder block assembly for a reciprocating pump includes a block body having a piston chamber that receives a piston of the reciprocating pump. The cylinder block assembly has an outlet valve assembly positioned within the block body that is positioned in fluid communication with the piston chamber. An outlet valve retainer retains the outlet valve relative to the piston chamber. The cylinder block assembly includes an inlet valve assembly extending through a side of the block body to the piston chamber. An inlet valve retainer also retains the inlet valve assembly relative to the piston chamber. A discharge passage extends from the outlet valve assembly to another side of the block body. A portion of the discharge passage extends between the inlet valve assembly and the inlet valve retainer.

The valve seat member comprises a hollow bore and a first frustoconical contact surface. The valve closure member is movable along the longitudinal axis of the valve apparatus. The fluid flow path extends through the bore of the valve seat member and between the valve seat member and the valve closure member. This fluid flow path is closed when the second frustoconical contact surface is sealed against the first frustoconical contact surface. The screening member is attached to at least one of the valve closure member or the valve seat member, and screens particles from fluid passing through the fluid flow path when the valve closure member approaches the valve seat member.

At least two axially extending and circumferentially spaced apart ribs are on the second axial end thereof, each of the ribs terminating in an end surface. Hollow coil spring means are positioned within the recesses in register with the bores, and having a first end engaging one of the shoulders, and a second end engaging the at least three circumferentially spaced apart ribs and the second axial end of the valve member.

摘要： A pump apparatus and system wherein a single piston in a single cylinder produces positive pumping action in both of its reciprocating movements into a single-output outlet at one end of said cylinder. A valving system incorporated into the piston itself establishes communication of the pumping medium between one side of the piston and the other within the confines of the single cylinder. Suction of fluid into the cylinder is produced by said piston in one direction only of its rectilinear movement through a one-way valve at the other end of the cylinder. When constructed in conjunction with a vacuum-operated diaphragm for operating the piston, liquid pressure in the cylinder is utilized also to ensure a fluidtight seal between the cylinder and the adjacent vacuum chamber housing the diaphragm.
