Abstract: An example image sensor structure includes an image layer. The image layer includes an array of light detectors disposed therein. A device stack is disposed over the image layer. An array of light guides is disposed in the device stack. Each light guide is associated with at least one light detector of the array of light detectors. A passivation stack is disposed over the device stack. The passivation stack includes a bottom surface in direct contact with a top surface of the light guides. An array of nanowells is disposed in a top layer of the passivation stack. Each nanowell is associated with a light guide of the array of light guides. A crosstalk blocking metal structure is disposed in the passivation stack. The crosstalk blocking metal structure reduces crosstalk within the passivation stack.

Abstract: Provided are gaze tracking apparatuses, which in some embodiments can include an optoelectronic device, wherein the optoelectronic device includes an image sensor with non-local readout circuit having a substrate and a plurality of pixels and operatively connected to a control unit, wherein a first area of the substrate is at least partially transparent to visible light and at least the plurality of pixels of the image sensor are arranged on the first area of the substrate to aim to an eye of a user when placed in front of an inner face of the substrate, and wherein the control unit is also adapted to control the image sensor to acquire image information from the user's eye for performing a gaze tracking of the user's eye.

Abstract: An optical receiver including a photodetector and a waveguide is provided. The photodetector includes a plurality of photosensitive regions arranged in an array. The waveguide is disposed on the photodetector and includes a plurality of gratings, a plurality of optical channels, and a plurality of light-deflection elements. The gratings are respectively adapted to collect light beams incident on the waveguide at different angles. The optical channels are adapted to propagate the light beams collected by the gratings. The light-deflection elements are disposed on transmission paths of the light beams propagating in the optical channels and are located above the photosensitive regions. The light-deflection elements are adapted to propagate the light beams propagating in the optical channels to the photosensitive regions. An optical transceiver is also provided.

Abstract: Provided herein are a multi-channel receiver optical sub-assembly and a manufacturing method thereof. The multi-channel receiver optical sub-assembly includes a PLC chip having a first side into which an optical signal is received and a second side from which the received signal is outputted, with an inclined surface formed on the second side of the PLC chip at a preset angle, a PD carrier bonded onto the PLC chip and made of a glass material, and an SI-PD bonded onto the PD carrier, a lens being integrated therein. The PLC chip, the PD carrier, and the SI-PD are passively aligned by at least one alignment mark and then are bonded.
