The spectral filter includes a deflection color microsplitting configuration. The deflection microsplitting spectral filters are disposed in front of a pixel of a respective sub-array of a plurality of sub-arrays and not disposed in front of other pixels of the respective sub-array. Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes a mirror mounting button attached at a first location at an in-cabin surface of a windshield and an attachment member attached at a second location at the in-cabin surface of the windshield. A light absorbing layer is disposed at the windshield and at least partially masks the presence of the attachment member from view by a viewer who is viewing through the windshield from outside the vehicle. An accessory module is releasably attached to the attachment member and accommodates a forward facing camera. With the accessory module releasably attached to the attachment member at the windshield, the forward facing camera views through the windshield. The forward facing camera includes a component of a camera-based driver assistance system of the vehicle.

Abstract: A driver assist system for a vehicle includes a camera and a control having an image processor, which processes image data captured by the camera. At least one non-visual sensor is operable to detect objects external of the vehicle and to provide non-visual sensor data to the control. During at least one of (i) a reversing maneuver and (ii) a parking maneuver, images derived, at least in part, from image data captured by the camera are displayed by a video display screen that is viewable by the driver to assist the driver in operating the vehicle. The control provides an indication to the vehicle driver, with the indication including at least one of (i) a visual indication displayed by the video display screen and (ii) an audible indication. The indication is provided, at least in part, responsive to detection by the non-visual sensor of an object external of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an event camera disposed in a cabin of a vehicle and viewing the head of a driver of the vehicle. The dynamic range of the event camera is at least 100 dB. The response time of the event camera is less than 10,000 microseconds. The event camera has a quantum efficiency of at least 15% for near-infrared light having a wavelength of 940 nm. The system, responsive to processing of data output by the event camera, monitors the driver of the vehicle. Responsive at least in part (a) to monitoring of the driver of the vehicle and (b) to vehicle kinematic data provided to the ECU, at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) a driver attentiveness alert is generated, (ii) a driver drowsiness alert is generated, (iii) steering of the vehicle is controlled and (iv) braking of the vehicle is controlled.

Abstract: A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior prismatic rearview mirror assembly and a camera disposed at the interior prismatic rearview mirror assembly behind and viewing through a prismatic mirror reflective element into the interior cabin of the vehicle. Supplemental sources of near infrared illumination are disposed at the mirror assembly that are operable to emit near infrared light to illuminate at least the driver-side front seating area within the interior cabin of the vehicle. Presence of the camera behind the prismatic mirror reflective element is not readily apparent to an occupant of the vehicle. The camera at least (a) views the driver-side front seating area of the vehicle and (b) views a passenger-side front seating area of the vehicle. The driver of the equipped vehicle is monitored via processing at the processor of image data captured by the camera.
