Abstract:
Systems and methods for storefront recognition are provided. A surveyor or other user can access an application implemented on a computing device. A source image of a storefront of an entity can be captured by the surveyor using an image capture device (e.g. a digital camera). A feature matching process can be used to compare the source image against a plurality of candidate images of storefronts in the geographic area and return a list of the candidate images with the closest match. Each candidate image returned by the application can be annotated with a similarity score indicative of the similarity of the source image with the candidate image. The surveyor can use the similarity scores and the candidate images to determine whether the store has been previously investigated. The user can interact with the application to indicate whether the entity seeds to be investigated.
Abstract:
Systems that employ microdroplets are used in embodiments for Microdroplet Electrospray Ionisation Mass Spectrometry (ESI MS). Thus, a method of detecting an analyte includes providing an oil composition comprising oil and an aqueous microdroplet comprising the analyte, the oil composition comprising a surfactant to stabilise the aqueous microdroplet in the oil composition; and performing ionisation mass spectrometry analysis of the oil composition.
Abstract:
An automated, self-adaptive framework prioritizes software testing in a consistent and effective manner. A metric evaluates past test execution information for assigning regression testing priority. The metric may be calculated with reference to one or more of the following factors taken in combination: requirement, coverage, history, and cost. The requirement factor considers customer-assigned priority of testing the code, complexity of implementing the code, and proneness of the code to faults. The coverage factor considers code coverage, feature coverage, and common usage rate. The history factor considers previous bug found rate, case stable rate, and priority to calculate. The cost factor considers test case execution time, and step length. A value of each factor for one test case is measured according to that test case and is not related to other test cases. The calculation result representing the metric for each test case determines a priority of the test case.

Abstract:
A flow cell for a microfluidic device can include a chamber, first microfluidic entry and exit channels, second microfluidic entry and exit channels, a first electrode, and a second electrode. A microfluidic device can include a microfluidic channel, a laser to excite fluorescent material, and a detector to detect fluorescence emission. Methods of merging a droplet from an emulsion in to a second stream of fluid and of detecting a content of a droplet in a stream are further disclosed.
Abstract:
Provided herein are methods and apparatuses for determining a level of cellular metabolic activity for a region of interest in order to detect and map on-going gliovascular unit metabolic activity using high-resolution 1H2O MRI. In one example approach, a computer-implemented method includes receiving a first set of DCE-MRI time-course data for a region, wherein a contrast agent is administered prior to imaging, identifying a region of interest from the first set of DCE-MRI time-course data for further analysis, performing shutter-speed pharmacokinetic analysis of the time-course data associated with the region of interest using computer-implemented software to obtain a finite and non-zero mean water molecule capillary lifetime in the region of interest, and indicating a level of cellular metabolic activity in the brain based on the mean water molecule capillary lifetime.
Abstract:
Dynamic identification and removal of potential stopwords from a search query is provided. A search query comprising plural terms is received. A possible stopword among the terms that appears in a predefined list of possible stopwords is identified. Query splits are determined based on one or more query patterns, each query split comprising a location portion using a first subset of the plural terms and a subject portion using a second subset. Either the location portion or the subject portion of the query splits is modified, by removing the possible stopword from that portion. The search engine is queried with the location portion and the subject portion for each of the query splits, and scored search results are obtained for each of the query splits. The search results returned for at least one of the query splits is selected to return as a response to the search query.

Abstract:
A variable capacity compressor assembly (20) configured for variable capacity modulation includes a housing (30), with a compressing mechanism (22) and a driving mechanism (24) disposed within the housing. The compressing mechanism includes compressing members (54, 56) that are shiftable relative to one another between loaded and unloaded states. The driving mechanism includes a line-start brushless permanent magnet motor (26). The line-start brushless permanent magnet motor includes a plurality of permanent magnets (102) that are mounted on, and extend generally axially along, a rotor core body (90) of the motor. Using the motor may reduce manufacture cost, maintain conveniently, and increase reliability.
