Abstract: The present invention provide a method for detecting a test substance utilizing a color development caused by an enzyme reaction, or a color development caused by a specific interaction such as an antigen-antibody reaction and an enzyme reaction, the test substance being detected rapidly, sensitively and quantitatively without using a spectroscopic measurement device. The method for measuring a concentration of a test substance by the present invention comprises the steps of: generating a peroxide from the test substance; obtaining a polymerized substance by bringing an oxidoreductase for producing a polymerized substance and a substrate of the oxidoreductase for producing a polymerized substance into contact with the peroxide; and irradiating the polymerized substance with light to record a temporal variation information of an intensity of scattered light generated from an irradiation point.

Abstract: It is possible to comprehensively calculate a potential and a current of a transmission line in an electric circuit, a potential and a current of an element, and an electromagnetic field including noise generated from the electric circuit. A computer performs a circuit configuration inputting step of inputting a circuit configuration of a distributed constant circuit and a lumped constant circuit and an initial value of each variable, and a calculating step of obtaining a scalar potential and a current in a multi-conductor transmission line, a scalar potential and a voltage in an element, and an electromagnetic radiation amount by, under the circuit configuration and the initial value, solving a basic equation of a transmission theory using a boundary condition formula at x=0 and w which are the boundary between the distributed constant circuit and the lumped constant circuit.

Abstract: Provided is a collagen sponge which has compressive strength (stress) equivalent to that of a tissue into which the collagen sponge is to be implanted, has no unevenness in structure and stress, and has a pore structure for allowing cells to infiltrate thereinto. The collagen sponge is obtained by subjecting a collagen dispersion, a collagen solution, or a mixture thereof having a collagen concentration of 50 mg/ml or more to freeze-drying and insolubilization treatment thereafter. The collagen sponge thus obtained has a stress of from 10 kPa to 30 kPa when loaded with 10% strain, has in its surface and inside a pore structure having a mean pore diameter ranging from 50 μm to 400 μm, and has a pore diameter standard deviation equal to or less than 80% of the mean pore diameter.

Abstract: Provided is a selective method for inducing differentiation from pluripotent stem cells to enterocyte-like cells. Also provided is an excellent enterocyte-like cell expressing drug-metabolizing enzymes and drug transporters. More specifically, provided is an enterocyte-like cell having properties closer to those of primary enterocytes, which are difficult to acquire. The foregoing is achieved by adding an ALK5 inhibitor (SB431542), Wnt3a, and EGF to a culture system of definitive endoderm cells obtained by differentiation induction from pluripotent stem cells and extending a culture time. The foregoing is also achieved by introducing CDX2 gene and/or FOXA2 gene into the pluripotent stem cells or the definitive endoderm cells. The foregoing is also achieved by overlaying a basement membrane matrix on the enterocyte-like cells.
