    摘要: A fingerprint sensor is disclosed, which employs a plurality of tactile sensors, each has an elastic insulating body between a member of an electrically conductive material, i.e., a gate electrode, and an insulating film deposited on a channel region of a field-effect transistor (FET). The channel region is formed between a source region and a drain region. Each of the tactile sensors is connected in series with a transistor that serves as a source of constant or steady current to form a source follower circuit. With the source follower circuit, output of each of the tactile sensors is converted into source voltage. The source voltage of each of the source follower circuits is extracted via a first switching element at a common output terminal. The source follower circuits are connected via a second switching element to a source of electric power.

    摘要: It is the object of the invention to provide a field emission cathode apparatus comprising plural electron-emitters which eliminates nonuniformity of electric emission density over an emissive area, controls emission currents by active devices, and improves reliability of the apparatus. P-type silicon 5 and n-type silicon 4 are formed on n.sup.+ -type silicon 6. On n-type silicon 4, an electron-emitter 1 made of Mo is formed, and electron-emitter 1 is surrounded by a grid electrode 2 and an insulator layer 3. N-type silicon 4 serves as a channel region of a junction gate field effect transistor, and a current flowing through it is controlled by a voltage applied to p-type silicon 5. Accordingly, an electron current emitted from electron-emitter 1 is also controlled by this transistor, and by setting up an operation region of this transistor in a saturation current region, nonuniformity of electron emissions from electron-emitters can be improved. Even when a portion of cathodes is damaged, the damage is not magnified to the whole apparatus, and the life of the field emission cathode can be prolonged.

    摘要: There is provided an apparatus for three-dimensionally displaying an object, including (a) image-displaying devices which display images at an observer's eyes, (b) a beam scanner, (c) an area-identifier which detects a direction on which an observer turns at least one eye to thereby identify a display area at which the observer gazes, (d) a calculator which calculates, based on an image signal including parallax, a three-dimensional positional relation between the observer and an object to be observed, existing in the display area, (e) an image-position controller which controls positions of images so that the object is displayed in the display area at locations on lines connecting the object located at a three-dimensional position calculated by the calculator to centers of pupils of the observer, and (f) a convergence generator which generates a difference between first timing at which the beam scanner is driven and second timing at which images start being displayed in the image-displaying devices, in accordance with a degree of convergence, and varies positions of images to be displayed in the image-displaying devices, in accordance with the thus generated convergence. The apparatus can accomplish compatibility in parallax and convergence to thereby reduce fatigue in an observer's eyes.

    摘要: An image display device of the present invention comprises a light converting means which converts picture signals into light beams, and a light beam scanning means which scans by beams. The light beam scanning means is provided with an x-axis optical scanner and a y-axis optical scanner each of which has a moving mirror and an excitation means. The moving mirror reflects a light beam from a light source in cascade, reflection directions being subjected to a perpendicular resonance rotation oscillation with each other because of a light beam scanning, each resonant rotation oscillation having a resonance frequency which is the same with or close to the other and being phase shifted by 90.degree. with respect to the other while having a predetermined oscillation ratio. The light beam scanning means implements a light beam scanning in a circumference direction of a circle having its center at a certain point on a screen or on a retina of a human eye, thus forming a picture image having a scanning line structure of a concentric circle form or a spiral form, with the pixels having been altered their density or size in accordance with a distance from the center.
