摘要: Lumen-traveling devices and associated methods and systems are described. Lumen-traveling devices capable of traveling within a body lumen may include a propelling mechanism to produce movement of the lumen-traveling device within the lumen, as well as additional components such as a sensor, an active portion, and/or control circuitry. In some embodiments, a sensor may be used to detect a local condition, and an action may be performed within the body lumen. Actions that may be performed include, but are not limited to, transmitting information, releasing a material within the lumen, performing a surgical step, or collecting a sample, among others.

摘要: Processor resource management devices and methods are disclosed. In some implementations, a device includes a processor, a hardware resource, and a resource manager operable to compare a first execution of one or more instructions pursuant to an optimistic resource management policy and a second execution of one or more instructions pursuant to a pessimistic resource management policy, the optimistic resource management policy assuming that less than an optimistic level of at least one error will occur during the first execution, and the pessimistic resource management policy assuming that greater than a pessimistic level of the at least one error will occur during the second execution. Based at least partially on the comparison, the resource manager selects a resource management policy from between the optimistic and pessimistic resource management policies, and associates the selected resource management policy with the one or more instructions.

In an embodiment, a method applies a first resource management strategy to a first resource associated with a first processor and executes an instruction block in a first processor. The method also applies a second resource management strategy to a second resource of a similar type as the first resource and executes the instruction block in a second processor. The method further selects a resource management strategy likely to provide a substantially optimum execution of the instruction group from the first resource management strategy and the second resource management strategy.

摘要: Embodiments include a controller apparatus, a computerized apparatus, a device, an apparatus, and a method. A controller-apparatus includes a monitoring circuit for detecting a computational error corresponding to an execution of an instruction of a sequence of instructions by a processor subsystem having an adjustable operating parameter. The controller apparatus also includes a recovery circuit for rolling back an execution of the sequence of instructions to a checkpoint in response to the detected computational error. The controller apparatus further includes a control circuit for adjusting the adjustable operating parameter in response to a performance criterion.
