摘要: The improved resin composition comprises:(A) a melt-workable liquid-crystal polyester resin obtained by polymerizing components selected from the group consisting of a dicarboxylic acid represented by the general formula (a) HOOC--R.sub.1 --COOH, a diol represented by the general formula (b) HO--R.sup.2 --OH, and an oxycarboxylic acid represented by the general formula (c) HO--R.sup.3 --COOH;(B) a polycarbonate resin having a recurring unit represented by the general formula: ##STR1## (C) a polyolefin and/or an olefinic copolymer, and the polyolefin and/or olefinic copolymer (C) is contained in an amount of 1-15 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of a resin consisting of 95-5 wt % of the liquid-crystal polyester resin (A) and 5-95 wt % of the polycarbonate resin(B). This resin composition is balanced between various physical properties including moldability, heat resistance, impact resistance, dimensional stability and stiffness.

摘要: A leveling device for an asphalt finisher or the like including a pair of screeds disposed at front and rear portions of the device on auxiliary frames which are slidably coupled to a main frame. The main frame is pivotably mounted to a pair of supporting arms extending from the vehicle body. The screeds are both movable laterally and tiltable sidewards so that a predetermined depth of asphalt coating can be attained and a crown portion provided if desired.

摘要: An authoring system authors content data for distribution through an information terminal by encryption for copyright protection. The system includes an authoring device and an authoring key generator. The generator generates a content identifier uniquely allocated to each of the content data, an authoring key enabling key uniquely allocated to the authoring device, and an authoring key obtained by encrypting a content key for encrypting the content data and a second content key using the CID and the CEK. The second content key is formed by encrypting the content key using a root key. The authoring device has a unit which decrypts the content key and the second content key using the CID and the CEK, and a unit which encrypts the content data using the decrypted content key to generate authored encrypted content data.

摘要: There is provided an apparatus for gene therapy to transfer or introduce, in vivo, a gene for treatment into a cell located at a target portion of a patient, so that the gene can be transferred with a high probability within a short period of time. The apparatus is applicable to all cell species. In addition to simple supply of a gene to the cell of the patient, the gene is forcibly transferred to the cell without depending on natural cellular physiology. For example, catheters are mounted on a probe inserted into a body cavity, and the gene is supplied from a reservoir which stores the gene to the surface of a human living cell of the target portion in the body cavity through needle cannulas attached to the distal ends of the catheters. A pulse voltage is applied to the needle cannulas to form a pore in the surface of the human living cell upon application of the pulse voltage. The gene is transferred into the human living cell through the pore.
