Abstract:
There is provided a disk brake comprising: a mounting member axially extending over a disk periphery, the mounting member including a pad guide where a friction pad travels; a caliper; and a return spring between the friction pad and the mounting member and urges the friction pad into a return direction separating from the disk, wherein the return spring includes: a first extended portion where a base end side thereof is fixed to a back plate of the friction pad while a top end side thereof extends separating from the disk; and a second extended portion folded from the top end side of the first extended portion toward the mounting member, a top of the second extended portion extending to elastically abut to the side of the mounting member, and a plate thickness direction of the first extended portion extends to be approximately a radial direction of the disk.
Abstract:
A fuel/air premixer for use in a gas turbine improves the atomization performance and mixing performance of the fuel by guiding an air so as to flow in an outward radial direction. A flow-deflecting tubular body having an annular cross section is disposed on the inside of and coaxially with a liquid film-forming body of an airbiast atomizer nozzle disposed at the inlet portion of a premixing tube. The outer peripheral surface of the flow-deflecting tubular body has a wall surface which increases in outer diameter toward the tip end of a first annular passage. The inner peripheral surface of the flow-deflecting tubular body has a form in which the inner diameter has a minimum to form a contracted portion, and then increases dramatically toward the tip end.
Abstract:
Provided are an electrophotographic toner, comprising a binder resin containing a coloring agent, a crystalline resin and an amorphous resin, wherein the crystalline resin has two or more peaks in weight-average molecular weight as determined by gel permeation chromatography, one of the peaks has a weight-average molecular weight in the range of 15,000 to 40,000, and another peak has a weight-average molecular weight in the range of 2,000 to 10,000 and a production method thereof, and an electrophotographic developer and an image-forming process using the electrophotographic toner.
Abstract:
A functional circuit group consisting of a plurality of functional circuits is formed at a surface of a substrate and a resistance element group consisting of a plurality of resistance elements connected to the functional circuits is arranged outside the functional circuit group on the substrate. The resistance element group is arranged in a region extending from an inner line, which is distant by one-third of a distance between the outer edge of the substrate and the center thereof from the same outer edge, up to the same outer edge. The resistance element group is a group in which a plurality of resistance elements, each having the same shape and size, are arranged at a constant distance between two of any adjacent pair.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an agricultural or horticultural fungicide including an effective amount of an amino-acid derivative represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a lower alkyl group (optionally having at least one same or different substituent of a halogen atom, an alkoxy group, and a cyano group), R.sup.2 represents an ethyl group, or an n-propyl group, R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, R.sup.4 represents a hydrogen atom, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, and R.sup.7 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, R.sup.8 represents a hydrogen atom, or a lower alkyl group, Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 independently represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, Z.sup.3 represents an oxygen atom, or a sulfur atom, Q represents a phenyl group, m represents an integer from 0 to 2, and n represents 0 or 1. The amino-acid amide derivatives according to the present invention exhibit superior control of cucumber downy mildew (Pseudoperonospora cubensis), tomato late blight (Phytophthora infestans), and grape downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola), and are effective for potato late blight (Phytophthora infestans). In addition, the agricultural or horticultural fungicides of the present invention are also characterized in that they are not harmful chemicals and exhibit excellent characteristics such as systemic action, residual activity, and persistence after rain-fall.
Abstract:
An electrical connector of the zipper type comprises first and second connector members with respective rows of contact elements and insulating elements which are brought into intermeshing relation when the connector members are closed together. The contact elements are located in a mold as stamped and formed contact strips and in-molded with a carrier of resilient insulating material, which also covers one side of each contact element in insulating relation, to provide an elongate connector member which can be handled as only a single piece.
Abstract:
This invention discloses a fibrinophilic urokinase complex which is a complex of urokinase with a urokinase inhibitor or tissue activator inhibitor and has a molecular weight of 97,500.+-.3,000 and a method for the production of this fibrinophilic urokinase complex from urine. The urokinase complex can be used, as a thombolytic agent exhibiting an outstanding ability to dissolve thrombus.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a preparation process for polypropylene-base resin compositions, which process comprises heating at a temperature of 170.degree.-280.degree. C. a mixture containing a crystalline ethylenepropylene block copolymer having a specific composition, an ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber having a specific composition and viscosity, an inorganic filler having a specific particle size, and an organic peroxide, all in specified amounts. The thus-obtained polypropylene-base resin compositions are suitable for use in the production of large moldings such as automobile bumpers, fenders and body sidemembers because of their excellent low-temperature impact resistance, high molding fluidity, good paintability and high stiffness as well as their low preparation cost.
Abstract:
A fuel reformer burner in which fuel gas and anode-off-gas (AOG) may be burned and backfire may be prevented during combustion of AOG includes a fuel supply portion, an anode-off-gas (AOG) supply portion; and a combustion air supply portion. The fuel supply portion and the AOG supply portion are arranged inside the combustion air supply portion, which is formed to extend beyond the discharge sides of the fuel supply portion and the AOG supply portion.
