摘要： The present invention is directed to methods to harvest, integrate and exploit nanomaterials, and particularly elongated nanowire materials. The invention provides methods for harvesting nanowires that include selectively etching a sacrificial layer placed on a nanowire growth substrate to remove nanowires. The invention also provides methods for integrating nanowires into electronic devices that include placing an outer surface of a cylinder in contact with a fluid suspension of nanowires and rolling the nanowire coated cylinder to deposit nanowires onto a surface. Methods are also provided to deposit nanowires using an ink-jet printer or an aperture to align nanowires. Additional aspects of the invention provide methods for preventing gate shorts in nanowire based transistors. Additional methods for harvesting and integrating nanowires are provided.

摘要： A rotary cutting die which is mountable on a metal cylinder. The rotary cutting die includes a rotary die plate having a concave, inner surface which is magnetically attractable and magnetically mountable on a metal cylinder. A cutting blade is mounted on a concave, outer surface of the die plate. Connectors may be engaged with the cutting blade and the die plate. A plurality of magnetic elements, such as neodymium magnets, are in the rotary die plate. The magnetic elements make the inner surface of they die plate magnetically attractable to the metal cylinder, thereby providing that the rotary cutting die is mountable on the metal cylinder without having to use screws, clamps or other mechanical holding devices. To prevent creep of the cutting die during operation, a magnetic member, such as a rubber magnet, may be magnetically mounted on the die cylinder, against the die plate.

摘要： A hulling apparatus having a main frame, a moveable support frame, a rotatable drum fixed in position relative to the main frame, a housing supported by the moveable support frame and a hulling chamber formed by the placement of the drum inside the housing. A contact element having one or more brush assemblies is attached to the drum such that the bristles project into the hulling chamber to engage walnuts, pecans or other food products and remove the outer hull therefrom. The walls of the housing are formed from one or more screened panels having openings therein to pass the removed hull material and spiral members thereon to help guide the food products through the apparatus. The housing moves up and down to increase or decrease the size of the hulling chamber. The apparatus speeds the process of hulling walnuts and pecans and more effectively utilizes the brush assemblies.

摘要： Random access to arbitrary fields of a video segment compressed using both interframe and intraframe techniques is enhanced by adding state information to the bitstream prior to each intraframe compressed image to allow each intraframe compressed image to be randomly accessed, by generating a field index that maps each temporal field to the offset in the compressed bitstream of the data used to decode the field, and by playing back segments using two or more alternatingly used decoders. The cut density may be improved by eliminating from the bitstream applied to each decoder any data corresponding to bidirectionally compressed images that would otherwise be used by the decoder to generate fields prior to the desired field.

摘要： Sharing of resources of a device by an application is provided by a video device manager which defines contexts which are collections of logical entities, called a graph, which are used to produce a video composition and which are applied to a single collection of physical entities. One of these logical entities may be an input buffer or first-in first-out memory (FIFO). Another may be an output buffer or FIFO. Other entities may be defined for compression, decompression, video encoders and decoders, mixers and filters. Each entity also has memory locations to which it has access. An entity may adopt memory locations of another entity if the memory locations are accessible y the entity. Such buffer adoption reduces data copying by virtual devices.

The system may provide a Web services interface through which service requests are received, and an API usable to request that a table be created, deleted, or described; that an item be stored, retrieved, deleted, or its attributes modified; or that a table be queried (or scanned) with filtered items and/or their attributes returned. An asynchronous workflow may be invoked to create or delete a table. Items stored in tables may be partitioned and indexed using a simple or composite primary key. The system may not impose pre-defined limits on table size, and may employ a flexible schema. The service may provide a best-effort or committed throughput model. The system may automatically scale and/or re-partition tables in response to detecting workload changes, node failures, or other conditions or anomalies.
