摘要: A power steering apparatus includes an electric motor, a temperature sensor, and a control unit. The electric motor produces an assist steering effort in a steering system. The temperature sensor measures a temperature of a first portion subject to thermal influence of operation of the electric motor. The control unit determines an estimated temperature of a second portion in accordance with a value of a motor current, the second portion being subject to thermal influence of operation of the electric motor. The control unit determines a first upper limit value in accordance with the measured temperature; determines a second upper limit value in accordance with the estimated temperature; limit the motor current to a smaller one of the first and second upper limit values, when determining that the temperature sensor is normal; limit the motor current to the second upper limit value, when determining that the temperature sensor is abnormal.

摘要: In a data reproducing apparatus, a monitor edge sample value is generated based on a second sample value at a trailing edge of the reproduction signal and a change amount of the monitor edge sample value is generated as an offset amount in a first processing part. Then, the offset amount is supplied to a second processing part where the second sample value is obtained by sampling the reproduction signal at the trailing edge. Then, the second processing part restores data based on the reproduction signal and the offset amount.

摘要: A clock matching apparatus for a data reproduction system includes a phase error detection unit which detects a phase error of a clock signal based on samples of a readout signal output by a sampler of the data reconstruction system. A phase-locked loop supplies a phase-matched clock signal to the sampler by compensating for the phase error detected by the phase error detection unit. The phase error detection unit includes an edge detection unit which detects a sampling instant for an edge sample among the samples of the readout signal. A difference unit generates a difference in timing phase between the edge sample and a sync level, the sync level being a reference signal level corresponding to a level of the readout signal at the sampling instants thereof and defined based on a partial-response waveform, the difference in the timing phase being output to the phase-locked loop as the detected phase error.

摘要: A method for collecting volatile organic substances from an off-gas containing moisture and volatile organic substances. The organic substances are removed from the gas containing the organic substances and the moisture by introducing the gas into an adsorbing tower filled with the adsorbents and being in the adsorbing process under a relatively low temperature condition. The gas is discharged outside the system as the gas containing the moisture but from which the organic substances have been removed. The organic substances are desorbed under a relatively high temperature condition in the regenerating process for the regeneration. The moisture is removed from the desorbed gas discharged from the adsorbent regenerating process in a dehumidifying tower filled with the moisture absorbent by the temperature swing method or pressure swing method. The obtained dry gas containing a high concentration of organic substances is introduced into a liquefier to be cooled and/or pressurized and to be liquefied so that the organic substances are collected. It is therefore possible to collect the organic substances at a high concentration magnification rate without degrading the organic substances and the adsorbents.

摘要: Provided is alloy for medical use and a medical device that is novel and useful. The alloy for medical use according to, for example, an embodiment of the present invention is mainly composed of three kinds of elements of gold (Au), platinum (Pt), and niobium (Nb). A total content of the three kinds of elements can be no smaller than 99% by weight, in which a platinum content can be no smaller than 5% by weight and no greater than 50% by weight and a niobium content can be no smaller than 3% by weight and no greater than 15% by weight. By adjusting the content ratio of the three elements, for example, it is possible to reduce or prevent artifacts in an MRI. Non-magnetization is also possible.
