    摘要: The piston 4 is one whose top part has a flat shape. Fuel is injected directly inside the cylinder 1 from the fuel injection valve 2. The tumble air flow control valve 7 adjusts the strength of the tumble air flow. The injected fuel pressure control section 110 of the control unit 100 varies the injected fuel pressure in accordance with the rotational speed of the engine while maintaining constant the opening angle of the tumble air flow adjustment valve 7. The TCV opening angle control section 120 varies the opening angle of the tumble air flow adjustment valve 7 in accordance with the rotational speed of the engine while maintaining constant the injected fuel pressure. The control is made by switching between the injected fuel pressure control section 110 and the TCV opening angle control section 120 depending on the rotational speed of the engine.

    摘要: A control method of an internal combustion engine with which braking force while reducing the speed of the motor vehicle can be established by generating pumping loss effectively by using a variable valve mechanism enabling to control arbitrarily the open-close timing and the lift amount of air intake and exhaust valves of the engine. When the break step-on force detection means detects a step-on force on a brake and an operation of the anti-lock brake system is selected, at least one of the intake valve or the exhaust valve is made close, another one not closed of the intake valve or the exhaust valve is made open once in a single revolution of the engine while a piston moves from a top dead center to a bottom dead center, and a lift of the valve is controlled to be a designated value.

    摘要: A fuel injector employed in a direct injection engine comprising a spark plug arranged on the top of a combustion chamber, a fuel injector located on said combustion chamber and an intake air control means installed on an intake manifold. A forward tumble air flow is formed in the combustion chamber by the intake air control means, and the fuel injector is available in two types; an annular (conical) spray type characterized by uniform density and a spray type characterized by high/low density. In the case of latter type, arrangement is made to ensure that the denser portion is placed face-to-face with the spark plug. Spray fuel rises along the wall surface of the combustion chamber on the intake side, and is carried to the spark plug by forward tumble air flow (called “tumble guide”) moving from the fuel injector to the spark plug. This allows stratified charge combustion to be performed in the operation range from low to high speed ranges, with the result that discharge of gas containing hazardous gas component such as THC is reduced and fuel economy is improved.
