    摘要: A print processor is disclosed which comprises: an input unit for inputting print data including at least either texts or graphics and described in predetermined drawing instructions; an image output unit for outputting images based on data having a predetermined data structure; an intermediate data generating unit for generating intermediate data from the print data, the intermediate data being expressed in a format which is higher in abstract terms than the data structure and which includes at least one basic graphic; an rasterizing process unit for rasterizing the intermediate data into the data structure and for supplying the image output unit with the intermediate data thus rasterized; a determining unit for determining a number and a size of the basic graphics constituting the intermediate data generated by the intermediate data generating unit; an rasterizing time predicting unit for predicting the time it takes the rasterizing process unit to rasterize the intermediate data on the basis of the number and the size of the basic graphics determined by the determining unit; and a control unit for determining an image output speed of the image output unit in accordance with the time predicted by the rasterizing time predicting unit.

    摘要: A spindle unit control method controls a plurality of spindle units which rotate in synchronism with each other, and comprises with respect to each of the spindle units a first step of obtaining a phase error by comparing phases of a detection signal indicating a rotary reference position of the spindle unit and a first clock signal, a second step of generating a second clock signal having a phase which is adjusted by delaying or advancing the phase of the first clock signal by the phase error, and a third step of controlling the rotation of the spindle unit by a phase locked loop based on the detection signal and the second clock signal. The first clock signal is used in common with respect to each of the spindle units, and the second clock signal is independent for each of the spindle units.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image bearing members bearing latent images, image forming units for forming the latent images on the image bearing members, developing units for developing the latent images on the image bearing members, a transport belt for transporting a transfer member on which images of different colors developed by the developing units are successively transferred as the transfer member is transported, and image pickup elements, arranged obliquely to a main scan direction of the image forming units and located on a downstream of a most downstream one of the image bearing members along a direction in which the transport belt transports the transfer member. The image pickup elements detect as image information transmitted or reflected light quantity distributions of regions which include marks transferred on the transport belt from the image bearing members. The image forming apparatus further includes a correction unit for detecting correction quantities from error quantities of marks transferred from the image bearing members other than a reference image bearing member with respect to a reference mark transferred from the reference image bearing member based on the image information detected by the image pickup elements, and correcting positions of the latent images formed on the image bearing members other than the reference image bearing member depending on the correction quantities.

    摘要: An evaluation method and printer in which a maintenance man may easily identify a deteriorated component in addition to a component that is broken down or is remarkably hard to operate without the need for any additional complex detecting device. A printer has a control part which controls a mechanical part and judges quantitatively in which state among normal, deteriorated, and abnormal states each mechanical part component is located. This judgment will change in accordance with whether the printer is in a maintenance or a normal mode.
