The support runs lengthwise on a shelf of the housing and has a length generally equal to a length of the housing. The mechanical stop is coupled to the support and reduces an amount of vertical deflection allowed to an associated leaf spring. Further, a windup preventer may be coupled to the support that prevents the leaf spring from entering a windup mode.

    摘要: A leaf spring assembly for use as an active component in vehicle suspension systems includes a full-leaf leaf spring component and a half-leaf leaf spring component connected thereto. The full-leaf leaf spring extends substantially the entire length of the leaf spring assembly and the half-leaf leaf spring extends substantially the entire length of one of the cantilevers. In a preferred form, when the leaf spring assembly has front and rear cantilevers of substantially unequal length, the leaf spring assembly provides for a constant caster angle for its associated axle during deflection of the assembly due to jounce and rebound. In another preferred form, when the leaf spring assembly has front and rear cantilevers of substantially equal length, the leaf spring assembly provides for a varying caster angle for its associated axle during deflection of the assembly due to jounce and rebound. In yet another preferred form, the axle seat portion of the full-leaf leaf spring is designed such that it biases the position of the axle associated with the leaf spring assembly to a predetermined caster angle.

    摘要: An arrangement for vertically adjustably supporting an individual wheel carrier disposed by way of control arms or an axle beam on the body of a motor vehicle. An actuator is fastened on the vehicle body, constructed as a hydraulic motor with at least one pressure space. The actuator has a swivellable actuating shaft which acts upon the wheel carrier, its control arms or the axle beam, by way of a linkage which contains at least one lever arm. The lever arm, upon which the hydraulic actuator acts directly, is designed as a mechanical spring. Also, at least one loaded pressure space of the actuator is hydraulically connected by way of at least one return valve, with a less loaded or unloaded pressure space or a return flow. As an alternative or in addition to the return valve, the loaded pressure space can be connected to a hydraulic accumulator.

    摘要: A vehicle including an elevatable cargo box to facilitate cargo loading and unloading. The vehicle includes a U-shaped cargo area within which the cargo box is located by mounted guides. The cargo box is movable between elevated and lowered positions by cables, which is operated by a drive system and is laterally secured in the elevated position by cones being fully registered within blocks. In a preferred embodiment, the cargo box is retrofitted to an existing vehicle. A series of cables is connected to corners of the cargo box and a drive is operably connected to the series of cables for retracting and extending the cables effecting the movement of the cargo box.
