    摘要: This invention concerns a time-effective method of manufacture for a sodium ferrierite precursor of a hydrogen ferrierite catalytic composition of matter by crystallizing an aqueous mixture of sodium hydroxide, an aluminum compound, a silicon compound and a nitrogen-containing compound, which mixture possesses 1.60 to 3.40 moles of sodium oxide and 0.70 to 1.60 moles of aluminum oxide per 25 moles of silicon oxide. The ultimate use of the resultant catalyst is for removing wax from a lubricating oil (preferably a light lubricating oil) with or without the metals of Group VIII and/or Group VIB used in association with the catalyst.

    摘要: The present disclosure comprises a new method for hydrothermal synthesis of ferrierite zeolite, using tetramethylammonium and benzylmethylpyrrodlidine as directional structure agents, and does not require a subsequent process in order to obtain the acid form of the material. This aspect is very important as it avoids subject treatments of calcination and successive interchanges which degrade the structure of the zeolite. The synthetic ferrierite obtained by means disclosed processes has uses in catalytic processes of transformation of hydrocarbons, such as cracking, isomerization, alkylation, and polymerization. Specifically, it can be used in the isomerization of butene to isobutene. To be used in catalytic processes, the zeolite ferrierite must be heated in an oxidant atmosphere in conditions such that the organic material occluded in the interior is eliminated.

    摘要: An improved process is disclosed for producing alumino-silicates having a porous structure, of the zeolite class, the process essentially comprising the step of preparing a homogeneous aqueous mixture containing a source of alumina, a source of silica and alkali metal bases and/or alkaline earth metal bases, the improvement consisting in adding to said mixture at least one substance which contains at least a hydroxyl group in its molecule. The advantages are that the use of nitrogenous organic substances, universally used heretofore for the preparation of certain zeolites, can be dispensed with inasmuch as the alkali metal ion is capable, alone, of displaying the counter-ion function.
