    摘要: In a follow-up servo system for the electrical control of a friction clutch of, say, a motor vehicle from the throttle control by way of an electro-mechanical actuator, with automatic take-up of the wear of the mating friction surfaces, whenever the clutch plate (i.e. the axially-movable part) is in its fully-engaged (FE) position with respect to the cooperating axially-fixed part a signal is repetitively derived to represent the corresponding just-touching (JT) position of the plate under the then conditions of wear. To this signal is added a signal from the throttle control within a range corresponding to the JT-FE range of the plate, thereby forming a demand signal corrected for wear. From a comparison of it with a measurement signal representing the actual position of the plate an error signal is derived for application to the actuator in the appropriate sense.

    摘要: A self-adjusting clutch (10) can include an automatic adjustment mechanism (20) for decreasing an axial dimension within a clutch pack (14). The adjustment can compensate for wear of the facing surfaces of interposed members located within the clutch pack (14), resulting from repeated engaging and disengaging under a clutch apply load within the clutch (10). The adjustment mechanism (20) can include a reaction plate (12) normally biased toward the clutch pack (14) by a plurality of first springs (22). The adjustment mechanism (20) can further include a plurality of pawls (24) supported for rotation by the reaction plate (12) and biased by a plurality of second springs (26) toward a locking position with respect to a ring member (36). The plurality of pawls (24) can lock the reaction plate (12) against axial movement in a direction of the clutch apply load during clutch actuation.

    摘要: A method of controlling an automated friction clutch arranged in a drivetrain of a motor vehicle in the force flow, between a motor and transmission, and the automated friction clutch is designed to be passively engaged by spring pressure and can be disengaged and engaged by a controllable clutch actuator. The automated friction clutch is provided with a path sensor for detecting the clutch actuator travel such that during the operation of the motor a current key point of a torque characteristic, provided for controlling the friction clutch, is determined and used for adapting the torque characteristic. With the friction clutch engaged and without the clutch actuator exerting any force, several values of the actuator travel are determined at intervals from which a current engagement point, close to the actual engagement point of the torque characteristic, is determined and with which the torque characteristic is adapted.

    摘要: A clutch control device for vehicle equipped with a clutch actuator driven by a working fluid, wherein secular change in the flow rate control valve for controlling the working fluid is compensated, and the rate of connection of the clutch is correctly controlled by a simple means. To control the stroke of a clutch actuator 110, the clutch control device is provided with a single flow rate control valve 1 that controls the feed and discharge of the working fluid by using an electromagnetic solenoid. A flow rate control valve control device 9 is provided with a learning device 91 that learns the neutral position of the flow rate control valve 1 which shuts off the flow of the working fluid, separately detects the amounts of electric current to a coil 8 of when the rate of change in the stroke becomes zero depending upon the directions in which the valve body of the flow control valve 1 moves, and learns the central point at the neutral position by averaging the detected values. In controlling the stroke of the clutch, the amount of electric current to the coil 8 is corrected based on the learned value to compensate for a change in the flow rate characteristics by secular changes.
