    摘要: A vehicle anti-theft system in which, only when the ID signal is obtained from a right ignition key and when the vehicle anti-theft function is halted by the failure of an anti-theft circuit or theft detection unit itself, the start-up of the engine is permitted. The system comprises a unit for generating a start-up enable signal in response to a verification signal representing a right ID signal, and an engine control unit for performing the start-up control of the engine in response to the start-up enable signal and disabling the engine in response to a theft signal. The start-up enable signal generating unit generates a start-up enable signal in response to the fault signal. A dummy line for detecting a breakage is wired along various signal lines wired on the substrate of an immobilizer, which, if intentionally broken by an ill-intentioned third party, could cause a fault signal similar to that for the failure of the immobilizer to be outputted from a determination signal output terminal. If a break in the dummy line is detected, the engine control is inhibited even if the fault signal is detected.

    摘要: An anchoring structure is disclosed for connecting to a casing of an optical submarine repeater or a cable joint box an optical submarine cable which is composed of a cylindrical pressure proof layer formed by a combination of three deformed metal wires of the same sectorial cross-section and disposed inside an insulator so that the pressure proof layer has centrally thereof a circularly-sectioned optical fiber unit housing space for housing an optical fiber unit formed by at least one optical fiber, a cable tensile-strength member formed by a plurality of tensile-strength wires disposed concentrically with the cylindrical pressure proof layer on the outside thereof and a metallic tape layer disposed in a cylindrical form outside the tensile-strength member to extend in its axial direction, the seam of the metallic tape layer being welded and the insulator being disposed outside the metallic tape layer. The anchoring structure of the present invention is composed of a conical anchor member having inserted therethrough at least the optical fiber unit in a through hole made in the conical anchor member along its axial direction, a conical member bearing metal means having a tapered hole conformable to the external configuration of the conical member and fixed to the casing with the tensile-strength wires held between the inner wall of the hole and the external surface of the conical member, and a cylindrical pressure proof layer anchoring mechanism for anchoring the cylindrical pressure proof layer to the conical member bearing metal means.
